to the 2006 Lakewood High School Lancer Band website! We've just finished a FANTASTIC '05 marching season, and are looking forward with mounting anticipation to another year full of great tunes, great drills, and great fun!!! Our music this year will include a "70's Show", Cheap Trick, Kansas, Earth Eind and Fire, and other favorites! Under comsideration is an 80's show, as well as one featuring the smash movie Chicago! Come see us in action, and cheer on your 2006 Lakewood High School Lancer Marching Band!

Band Members:
Pre-Camp is Monday, July 31 - Friday, August 4th, and Monday, August 7th, to Thursday, August 10. Bring your instrument. If your instrument is at the school, arrive early to allow yourself time to locate it (ask your section leader) and get it in playing condition (oil valves, etc.) You also owe a $20.00 usage fee for your use of a school-owned instrument. Take care of your instruments- you will be held responsible for the well-being of your instrument.

Week 1: LHS, 5-8 p.m. Full band & sectional rehearsals. NO MARCHING. Receive camp forms.

Week 2: LHS, 5-9 p.m. Full band & sectional rehearsals, basic MARCHING Fun-fun-fun-damentals.

Week 3: CAMP!!! Ohio Retreat Center in Marengo, OH. (Catch bus at LHS.) More details to come during pre-camp.

Evening Rehearsals: Monday & Wednesday evenings 6-8:30 p.m. (throughout the season)

FRESHMAN: "Call time" is a term you'll hear used in regards to every event the Lancer Band is present at, and refers to the time that you need to be ready to begin whatever we're doing. You need to be at the location 15 minutes BEFORE your call time! (Otherwise you will be marked tardy.) Absence excuses must be in writing and signed by a parent/guardian and turned in to a director, in addition to telling a section leader AND your squad leader. This is very important!!! (So that we may make adjustments in formations, part assignments, and so we know where you are!)
