Excerpts from 'History of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan'
ISAAC TREDE, wines and liquors, is a native of Canada, and was born in 1845.  He lived there until 1866, when he came to Lake Superior; settled in Marquette County, and was engaged in making charcoal, at Clarksburg, for eight years.  He lived five years at Negaunee, and then came to Michigamme and engaged in butchering business, and has recently started his present business.  He owns his property, and is preparing to build and start livery business.  In 1865, he married Miss Sophia Biegrow, a native of Canada.  They have five children-Fred, Isaac, Louise, Mack and John.
