| Interesting Story: Walter LaPlant died April 4 1927 in Arizona and his body was shipped back to Michigamme for burial next to his wife. His cemetery footmarker says "Mother 1873-1926". It seems there was no marker for his grave and Ed Stensrud had an unclaimed one that said this so it was TEMPORARILY put on Walter's grave to indicate that there was a grave there. His grave marker, if he had one, should read 1880-1927. |
