Persona Guide

1. Don't forget about your firelizards- many people write them and then forget about them. You can always ask for a second metallic one. But no one persona should have more than four.

2. Try to avoid stereotypes or cliches. Fandom has a huge number of red-haired, blue-eyed characters. Now, I love red hair. But they're both recessive traits.

3. Try to write interesting characters. People aren't defined by their strengths but rather their limitations. Also, Pern is pastoral and there probably aren't a whole lot of people who are abused, abducted, or abandoned.

4. Please don't send me a half filled out form with parts not done. It is really a pain in the but to have to send it back to you to have you redo the ones you missed. Example: If you are making a dragonrider, please use the Dragonrider Persona Sheet. You will find seperate persona sheets for Dragonriders, Crafters, Holders/Holderfolk, and NPC's. For those who have holdless or Caravan people, please use the Crafter Persona Sheet! Mundane Information is a mandatory section to fill out. All people have to fill it out.

5. If you have a weyrling pair please put the size and their personality and strengths/weaknesses as you would a full-grown dragon. What we are looking for is how they will be and what size they will be as adults. It is such a pain in the rear to keep changing the size and stuff as they "grow".

6. Please keep your personas as life like as possible. We don't need any GODS in here.

Mundane Information

Name: Your name or nickname

Email: Put your mail email address here. (The on you can always be reached at) Then put your alternate email addresses down incase your main one doesn't work for some reason.

Computer: IBM? Pentium? Home made? What type of files can't you open?

What are you willing to do for Lakeside? Write a lot? RP, Mundane work?

Persona Information

Name: What is your name? In the case of dragon riders, please put the name of your character before impression and after impression

Age: How old is your char?

Sex/Preference: Is your char. male or female? Is your char. straight, bi, gay, lesbian, or unsure?

Rank/Title/Position/Location: What is your chars. rank (if any)? Where is your char. at now?

Parents/Foster Parents/Rank/Age/Location: Tell me about your chars parents/foster parents

Siblings/Rank/Age/Location: Tell me about theit Siblings

Children/Rank/Age/Location: Tell me about their children

Description: eye color/shape, hair color/style, height, weight/build, complexion, handedness, voice, jewelry/weapons, clothing you wear, personal possessions

Personality: What makes you click? Do you get along with people and dragons and animals? Are you happy go lucky or temperamental?

History: Tell me who your parents are and what they do. Where were you born? Tell me about your siblings or if you have any children. Tell me what made you to be who you are today.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: What are your strengths? Weaknesses? Can you do tricks or sing, paint?

Pets: Do you have any flits, canines, felines, watchwhers?

Other: Are you married or weyrmated to someone? Who? Who is your lover (if any)? If you are a candidate please write down the two colors you want most. The first is being your first choice.

Dragonriders

Dragon name: All dragons' names end in -th.

Dragon color: Gold, bronze, brown, blue, and green. Golds are available by impression only

Age: How old is their dragon?

Wing: Here are the wings at Lakeside Weyr. If you want we'll choose a wing for you to be in. 1)You can either choose the wing you want. 2)If your not sure, the BoD can and will choose for you.

Size: How big is your dragon? Here is a chart you can use. They are in feet. The wing size is about three times their length.

Personality: Are they active? Lazy? Excitable? Temperamental? How are they at interacting with flits, people, and other dragons? With your char?

Strengths/Weaknesses: What do they do well? What don't they do well on?

Other: Are they weyrmated with another dragon? To whom?

Crafters

Craft: What craft are they in?

Rank: Apprentice? Journeyman? Senior Journeyman, Master?

Specialty: What is it your character does in the craft?

Strength/Weaknesses: What do they do well in? bad in?

Holders

Hold: What hold are you in?

Size: Major, minor, or cot hold?

Rank/Position: Lord Holder, Holder (minor or cot), farmer? Child?

NPCs

Name: of the NPC

Age: How old are you?

Sex/Preference: Are you male or female? Are you straight, bi, gay, lesbian, or unsure?

Rank/Location: What is your rank? Where are you at now?

PC they're associated with: Your PC

How are they associated with your PC: Brother, sister, friend, lover, and cousin?

Controller: Your name

Permissions: Are they adoptable? Can others use them?
