Obedience Trials
Back
Each level of Obedience is a little bit more of a challenge, and a little more unpredictable.  For all levels of Obedience there are sit-stays and down-stays that are timed.  You do these in groups of 1-20 dogs.  The harder the level, the longer they must stay, and the further away you have to be.  The dog must do on and off lead heels and about turns , along with a few halts(stop and sits). Two things you will need to do will be the figure eight, and return.  You will also do a recall.  The group will then enter and will see who qualifys.  As the levels get harder, you will do retrievel, retrievel over hurdle, come and stops, scent descrimination, and another dog comes in the ring, you put your dog in a down stay, leave the room, and the other dog does his things.  Then you re-enter the ring and release the dog. Your dog may not move while the other dog is taking his turn comming, sitting, figure eight, and even circling your dog!!!!
