Roswell has gone through many changes but the core of the hood remains the same. Although surnames may be different many of the current families are descendants of the founders. Roswell was founded when 3 friends went to College in Sim City but didn't want the hassle and espense of living there. So they built on a remote location and named it Lake Park. Tish Walker, Carol Simon and Andria Kelly started a revoultion . Soon many of their college friends move to this small town and the population soared. After a while it was not just their friends but other Sim City familes who wanted out of the city came too and raised their kids. The Landgraabs and Crumplebottoms are just two of the popular families that settled there.
Although there are other families in Roswell these are the ones with history and ties to other hoods.
Roswell Families
McDowell - Tish McDowell (nee Walker) founded Lake Park with 2 friends. She was very succesful and topped many careers during TS1 . She and her husband Arthur had a large house and 3 children. Her mother Erma Walker (nee Harris) and her father Rodney Walker divorced when she was a young child and she and her sister Sharlee were raised iin different homes. She remained close with her mother even though she did not live with her and once she was old enough left her father's home in search of education. After which she bought her mom a home. Erma Walker devoted her llife to the education career and was Dean of Students for many Years. Once she came to the new dimension as an elder she lived to be 80. Tish and Arthur came to the new dimension as adults with their children. They both lived into the 80's.
Today Blair McDowell carries on the family name. He and his second wife have recently had twins.He also has a son from his first marriage. His father Stephen is a former spokessim. His mom Shamim her ancestors were from Apple Valley and had the name of Emily and James Bard.
Landgraab - There should not be a sim in the world who hasn't heard of the infamous Admiral Landgraab who led an expedtion into unchartered territory and was a war verteran many sim years ago. His family has always been in the military and served their nation proudly. He and his sons and his son's sons have all been hardcore military. The Landgraabs and the McDowell were connected when Taylor McDowell married Andrew Landgraab soon after she became an adult in the new dimension. This connected two powerful families.
Craig the former head of the family died under mysterious circumstances leaving behind a wife and two infant children along with some older children not recognized as heirs because conceived outside of marriage. Mimi and Dudley now are the only ones left to carry on the name and the legacy.Dudley has recently married and is expected to produce an heir very soon. The family owns a lot of sim city businesses including, Microscotch Technologies, Shiny Things Inc., Landgraab Tar Pitts, The 444 Club, a magazine called The Avarix, and Hypnotico which are all divisions of M.L. Industries.
Forrester - The two who were most popular were Eric and Brooke. Eric was a business major at SSU took over Forrester Creations but with no one to give the family business to he sold it and took up acting full time. His wife Brooke was the Police Chief of Lake Park and took her job very seriously. Her father Charles Logan was in politics and her mother was in fashion which is how her family knew the Forresters. She and Eric married after college and had 4 children. Rick, Luke , Bridget and Jennifer. Her oldest daughter Jennifer movied to another hood and when she got pregnant without being married her parents disowned her and they cut off contact between her and her siblings. Eric's parents were Stephanie and Eric and Eric died at a young age but Stephanie lived until 68.
The Forresters of today are still very conservative and although they hold no grudges against their Apply Valley relatives they do not know them or associate with them. Cassidy is set to inherit her family's house and has become spokessim os Roswell. She has a son names Eric a popular family name. Her father Logan is a scientist. Her mom Bethany is a descendant of the Grey family of Apply Valley. Antonia Grey moved to this hood and several generations later Bethany was born.
Dawson - The Dawson family has an interesting heritage. Rachel Dawson and Tish McDowell were close friends who met at work. Rachel married her high school sweetheart Maurice. Rachel and Maurice had met before that as children when their parents were stationed at the same military base. They had a son who became an adult right before they left the hood for Apple Valley. Their son underwent an operation to became a women (Jade) and then she carried on the family name.
Shelby Dawson had two daughters Trinity who married but took her husband's name has twins Takara and Trevor who are now teens and Taylor who is married has also taken her husband's name and has twins Lila and Justin. Trinity and Taylor both have great careers. Shelby recently married after having another daughter who has the Dawson name but Shelby has taken her husband's name. Two distant cousin from Apply Valley Rachel and Janet have both moved to Roswell and it is unknown whether they will marry and if so they will change their name.
