Statistics are interesting, and when I look at them, I start to ponder various thoughts.
The first thing that comes to mind is, since 85% of Americans are Christian, shouldn't it be really easy to convert the other 15%?
Another interesting fact is, most people only go to church two times a year, christmas, and easter. Considering this, that narrows church attendance down considerably. Locally, less people are attending the small churches, and more are attending the bigger, newer churches.
The statistics that really bother me are the ones concerning the crimes that are committed, and are against Gods law, such as murder, abortion, and drug abuse.
Since America is a Christian nation, and 85% of Americans profess Christianity, you would think America would lead the world in safety, and good morals.
The following facts are really troubling to me, and they should trouble you too.
America leads every other country on the earth in teen pregnancy, drug addiction/abuse, rape, murder, abortion, divorce, and robbery. 37 million people live in poverty while millions more struggle to pay their bills every month. All this from the richest nation on the planet.
Now let's crunch some numbers to discover some startling and troubling facts.
According to Pro-Life America, over 4000 babies a day are aborted in the United states. This amounts to 1,460,000 a year. A christian website states 40% of women who have abortions have had previous abortions.
Now for the numbers. Since America leads the world in crime and murder, 85% of the crime and murder is committed by christians. That is startling! Before you get mad at me, consider this. Do you actually believe 1.46 million babies are aborted every year by the 45 million people who are not christian? Do you believe all the murders, robberies, drug addictions, and rapes are committed by the 45 million people in America who are not christian? Consider this...America's prison pouplation topped 2 million inmates for the first time in history on June 30, 2002 according to a report by the Justice Department"s Bureau of Justice Statistics.
More numbers. 85% of abortions come to 1,241,000 and 15% of abortions come to 219,000. More christians have abortions than non-christians.

Christians are so judgemental toward other people, and the christian population is more guilty of committing crimes and breaking Gods laws than sinners. Almost makes me want to be a sinner. If sinners stand in jeopardy of burning in hell (according to christians) where are the christians going to appear?
The top five causes for divorce are: 1. infidelity. 2. Physical Abuse. 3. Emotional Abuse, 4. Incompatable Personalities, and 5. Financial problems. These do not sound like good christian attributes to me.
Why do Americans turn to christianity when they are "convicted by the holy spirit"? Do other people all over the world get "conviction from the holy spirit"? If they do, why don't they turn to christianity instead of Muslim, or Buhdism, or Satanism?
Americans turn to christianity because this is a christian nation. You believe in Jesus Christ because you were [probably] born and raised here. If you were born in Iraq, or Pakistan, would you be a christian or a muslim? You would be muslim because those are Muslim nations. If you were born in India, you would belive in re-incarnation, and your dead loved ones come back as cows, and cows are so sacred that they are allowed devour entire crops without so much as being shooed out of the field.
Religion is the biggest scam to ever hit this world, and the reason why crime is so prevelent is because, religious people do not have the love of god in their hearts. Religios people are the servants of their religion, and whatever a person serves, they worship, and what they worship is their god.
The only way of salvation is to become non-religios or unreligious. Not Athieistic, but true born again followers of the true and living god, the god who created everything in existance, the original god of OT Israel. Religion is the problem, not the answer!
