Our chapter participates in projects that educate others about Confederate history, Southern customs, clothing, rituals, etc. We raise money for scholarships, participate in battle reenactments, living history programs and other local historical events. Additionally, we collect and send items to patients at Veteran's hospitals and shelters, and send cards, letters and small gifts to three young military enlistees from the local area. Members are encouraged to submit historical narratives on their Confederate ancestors for inclusion on the chapter site. Photos and documents are welcome.
The Gerri Griffin scholarship fund continues to grow. The chapter would like to bestow a grant to an eligible descendant of a Florida Confederate Veteran. Applicants should send in a curricululm vitae to 2nd Vice President Sue Sellers.
Our meetings are normally held on the last Tuesday of the month from August through May. Contact the President if you wish to attend.
