| The wind wailed in the trees and the lightning flashed brilliantly in the sky, briefly touching the earth and illuminating the woods for a moment, perhaps a second at most. Talia seemed unfazed by the storm, and you were hardly going to come all this way to the sanctuaries only to turn back now because of a little lightning and thunder. Silently, she pointed out the shadowy shapes weaving in between the trees. So it was true! Talia had convinced some Foxfliis to come live with her! Talia had warned you ahead of time that their personalities varied, and not to expect a greeting if the timing wasn't right. But you were overjoyed when a dark coloured one with markings as vivid as the skies approached you. Greetings traveller, she intoned, the voice most clearly female. I am Ser'essi, and welcome to my lands. |

| Just then, another lighter coloured female came forward, pausing only briefly before she came to stand at the darker female's side. I am Naia'lae, she said gently, before lowering her muzzle to lick your hand, by way of greeting. The darker coloured female glared and shook a furred head. You shouldn't talk to them thus, she said with obvious disapproval. Naia smiled and didn't even bother to argue, although it was quite apparent by the expression on Ser'essi's face that she was not happy with her casual submission. |
