*Owner and trainer of Varuna*
Varuna was not a dragon to be toyed with. He clawed the ground furiously with his ferocious looking claws, tearing up great clumps of dirt in the process. He growled menacingly at the man that was trying to capture him.

These humans! he thought disdainfully. They just don't seem to understand that we choose their trainer, not them. The man had very much so wanted to be Varuna's trainer, but he was far too persistant for Varuna's liking. Varuna was a proud dragon, and wanted to be treated as an individual, rather than a trophy. This man treated him like the latter, something that Varuna was not keen on. The man, in anger at being rejected as a trainer, had cornered Varuna, and was now willing to capture him if that's what it meant.

Varuna snarled angrily, and just as he was about ready to charge the man, a young girl entered the clearing. Pale and slight, she stepped gracefully up to Varuna and kneeled infront of him, looking deep into his eyes.

Her power and courage moved him. He shifted uneasily and noticed that she had wings! This was most certainly not a human. He looked curiously at her, cocking his head from side to side, still keeping eye contact with her. She reached out and placed her hand on his head, and the power that emanated from her filled him with invigorating energy. He noticed a movement out of the corner of his eye and struck, pouncing and pinning the man that he had forgotten about.

The girl laughed softly, her voice reminding him of the gentle chime of bells. She smiled at him and inclined her head in a gesture of approval and respect.

"That was well done, master dragon," she said. "You could learn to be better though." Varuna knew it to be true, and he believed with all his being that she could be the one to help him. Somehow, his instincts told him that she could be the one to teach him. He dipped his head in what resembled a dragonlike bow of some sorts.

"And you...you could help me?" he asked softly. She giggled.

"Of course I could." His ferocious lizard like grin returned, and he went to her side.

"I am called Varuna," he said solemnly. "And who is my trainer?"

"Moira," she replied, somewhat briskly. He nodded. He was willing to follow her anywhere.
