After I was all stitched up I was sent to a recovery room where I slept. I remember feeling very angry that I was not the first one to hold my daughter, but I was so tired I realized it probably wouldn't have been the best thing. When I got back to my room I barely got to enjoy the moment because my head was so fuzzy. I remember holding Kayla for the first time and right away trying to nurse her. We were in the hospital for 3 days and had a lot of visitors and got a lot of gifts. I was nervous about going home with a baby and laughed when I remembered everyone saying babies should come with instruction manuals. :)

It is almost a year later and it still seems like only yesterday. I can't believe how fast this year has gone, and how much Kayla has grown. Even though people might say I had a difficult birth I would do it again in a heartbeat. Like they say on Maternity Ward or Birth Day "Anything worth having is worth fighting for". Thank you for reading my story, and please check out the rest of my site.
