For the benefit of the members of Lake Serene Property Owners Assocation these rules have been set forth by the Board of Directors.
1 - Boats shall not exceed 21 feet in length, pontoon boats ONLY are limited to 28 feet.
2 - Boats with "heads", latrines, galleys, or chemical toilets are prohibited from use of lakes.
3 - All watercraft must comform to current Coast Guard regulations.
4 - All watercraft are to have proper equipment to prevent any obnoxious sounds.
5 - No persons under the age of 14 years of age will operate a watercraft ubless an adult is aboard.
6 - All watercraft must use right hand pattern of lakes.
7 - Watercraft pulling skiers must have an observer in addition to the operator.
8 - Skiing and Jet Skiing is permitted from sunrise until sunset on Main Lake only.
9 - Skiers and watercraft are not allowed to be launched or loaded at the swimming area or pier and all watercraft and skiers must keep a 50' distance from the swimming pier.
10 - Watercraft and skiers must stay 50' from all docks unless docking.
11 - Jet Skis are to operate only in the north end of the lake marked by buoys.
12 - Jet Skis must follow counter clockwise direction when going to or leaving the Jet Ski Area.
13 - Watercraft of members must have a current Lake Serene Decal attached and displayed on the windshield or bow. All vehicles must have current decal attached in prominent place. Left rear bumper is suggested.
14 - Trout lines are prohibited at all times in all areas of the main lake. All trout lines shill be removed from all lakes during daylight hours and must not be left unattended.
15 - Fishing is not permitted in the open skiing and swimming areas in the main lake, (Old Lake Shady) while ski boats are in operation.
16 - All boats in fishing lakes shall not exceed 5 miles per hour (create minimum wake).
17 - No house boats are allowed in the lakes. No house trailers are allowed in the area.
18 - Swimming is prohibited around any of the controls to dams and/or locks.
19 - Only property owners association members in good standing, their dempendents as defined by laws, and their guest may use the facilities (such as boat ramps, pinic area, parking lots, and swimming area) of Lake Serene. The property owner-member must accompany all guests. Number of guests may be limited.
20 - Only watercraft of property owner-members may be launched from the common properties of the Lake Serene Proptery Owners Association, Inc. No guest watercraft allowed.
21 - No hunting or discharge of fire arms is allowed on the Lake Serene property.
22 - For non-individually owned lots, (those owned by companies, corporations, etc.) one natural person must be designated in writing as the member (see By-laws Amendment 1 approved by membership March 13, 1975).
23 - Any Violations of the rules for lake use are subject to the fines described in Article II, Section 1 of the By-laws (Approved by the membership March 13, 1975).
