~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LICH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CONTENTS Erinachiropt Indigoyle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ POKÉDEX ENTRY: No: 703 Name: Erinachiropt Species: Stage One Firebat Height: 2'4" (71cm) Weight: 24lbs (10.9 kg) Type 1: Fire Type 2: Poison Description: Erinachiropt is a splicing of Cyndaquil and Zubat genes by humans, which escaped, and is now being bred by a colony of Gligars for their own mating purposes. It can dig and breathe fire, but it cannot fly. Move List: Combination of Zubat and Cyndaquil moves, except for those which require the use of its wings, and any strong fire attacks that stem from its back. Erinachiropt is the result of strange genetic experiments by the humans to try to create a fire bat by splicing Cyndaquil with the genetically versatile Zubat. This Pokémon is the first stage of development; however, before the project could be continued any further, the male and female subjects escaped, and the project was shelved. The two escapees were found by a colony of Gligars in the Lake Eerie area. Their fire abilities were seen to have potential. With Erinachiropt's part-Zubat structure and the Gligars' ability to breed with them, the Gligars saw them as potential to reduce their susceptibility to cold through a controlled breeding program of their own, so as to allow year-long hunting. The species is farmed by Gligars in the caves beneath Lake Eerie: that farm is its only habitat to date. Erinachiropt's unstable genetic structure tends to be submissive in breeding except with itself, thus making itself a catalyst for "stronger" Gligar production. Should any Erinachiropts escape from there, it is theorised that they will seek out Zubat colonies and try to meld as a ground-dwelling version. Erinachiropt's wings are redundant. While they still retain the musculature and nervous links of its Zubat ancestor, thus allowing them to be moved, the wings do not allow the creature to fly. As evolution of the species progresses, these may drop off. Erinachiropt is short-sighted, but it retains the Zubat's ultrasonic abilities to allow for navigation. Like its Cyndaquil ancestor, Erinachiropt has its fire and digging abilities, including the ability to flare on its back, albeit not as strong. It is unknown if the creature has the ability to evolve like other Serielumenae (evolving Pokémon), but if it does, the period until its evolution is long and drawn out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ POKÉDEX ENTRY: No: 704 Name: Indigoyle Species: Gargoyle Height: 3'2" (97cm) Weight: 40lbs (18.1 kg) Type 1: Fire Type 2: Poison Description: Like Erinachiropt, Indigoyle is a combination of Golbat and Quilava. It still can't fly, but it has better fire attacks. Move List: Combination of Golbat and Quilava moves, in addition to its previous moves, except for those which require the use of its wings. Its fire attacks aren't as strong as Quilava's, though. Firstly, I'd like to thank Jimi for helping me with this. ^^ The reason for its name will become clear once an actual evolution takes place... Like its Erinachiropt prevolution, Indigoyle is a combination of Zubat and Cyndaquil genes. The evolution comes as a result of those two creatures. Thus, it has a more Quilava-like stature, but it still retains Zubat/Golbat features, such as its long pointy ears, sharp canine fangs and redundant wings. Also, like its Zubat heritage, the creature's eyesight will sharpen and be able to take in more around it, but will still require the use of its echolocation for greater distances than it can see. It should be noted that the creature still retains its unstable genetic heritage. Thus, any mating that does occur will only produce baby Erinachiropts if both parents are of the same species; cross- breeding produces non-Erinachiropt offspring. This will occur in subsequent generations also, i.e. an Erinachiropt-born non- Erinachiropt will not produce Erinachiropts. If you made sense of that statement, good. XD Indigoyles maintain their fire and digging abilities. Their strength in fire attacks improve from their younger forms; they can use their back flames with more skill and control, thus allowing them stronger Quilava-like battle moves. They aren't as strong as actual Quilava moves, though. Erinachiropt moves to Indigoyle in the normal, levelling up way. For all intents and purposes, this should be considered the final evolution. But, you never know... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
