~~~~~~~~~~ AMY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CONTENTS Marluga Marsopa ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Species name: Marluga No: ??? The Wave Chaser Pokemon Type 1/ Water Height: 4'9 Weight: 130 lbs General Pokedex data: This playful pokemon is known to swim up behind unsuspecting Pelipper and pluck off a few of their tailfeathers. They can sometimes be seen riding the swells left behind by larger water pokemon. Marluga as well their evolved forms are extremely social creatures, travelling in pods usually ranging from 5 to 10 in number. Their streamlined skin and acute sense of touch allow them to maneuver gracefully around any obstacle. Headbutting is their main form of defense as well as play, and the pearly white bump that resides on their forehead appears to be used for this function. Once evolved, it will steadily begin to grow into the horn their evolved form is best known for. Although generally peaceful and congenial in demeanor, they will show aggression by blowing bubble-clouds out of their blowholes. Some can often be heard communicating using distinctive clicks and whistles in deep water. The Porpoise Pokemon Type 1/ Water Type 2/ Psychic Height: 7'8 Weight: 419 lbs General Pokedex data: These majestic pokemon possess long, distinctive horns and can swim up to 90 miles per hour, earning them the nickname "the Rapidash of the sea". Not much is known about this elusive and mischievous pokemon, who tends to show up only when people aren't looking for it. Despite their usually peaceful demeanor, they are a force to be reckoned with when provoked. The horns that protrude from their foreheads can reach up to 3 or 4 feet, although since they are rarely seen this is for the time undetermined. Horns play a major role in everyday functioning; feeding, defense, establishing dominance, attracting females, and sparring between males during mating season. Males' horns tend to grow longer for this purpose. Pods consist of one dominant marsopa male, lower males, females, and children. Marlugas make up most of this number. Pods are extremely protective and effective against predators. Marsopas have been known to kill sharpedo, who like to go after the babies and weaker marluga, with a single stab from their horn. The lead males are extremely protective of their pods and can be deadly if they sense the slightest threat. Marsopa appear to use their psychic abilities as some form of echolocation/communication, though more study needs to be performed on it. They can be extremely empathetic and aware of their surroundings, and this has been pertained to these psychic abilities.
