A Kitty Romance

This log courtesy of Shoo (Eric Matney) and Ivory (Meowthfan), compiled by me.

Shoo stopped abruptly when he reached the edge of the village. (Ivory,
of course, had gotten there first) He climbed a pile of human stuffs
(how could anything, even a human need so many different things?) and
scrambled onto the roof of the building. It was still wet from the rain
but he didn't think about it too much. The cat sniffed the air and
looked around. The village, though he had only left there yesterday,
already looked foreign in the night air..

He called down to Ivory. "Hey! We can see more from up here.. And it's
probably safer too."

Ivory grinned and climbed up quickly.

Shoo smiled at her. He sprinted to the edge of the roof and jumped onto
the next one. "Follow me. I'm hungry and I know just the place to get
some food."

Ivory sighed and followed.

Shoo continued on for a few more rooftops and froze when he heard a familiar sound.

"Hello-hello-hello-hello! Shoo! Hello-hello-hello!" The incessant chattering of a good-for-nothing Pidgey.

Shoo sighed. "What do you want?"

"Oh nothing-nothing. Just so glad-glad-glad you're back!"

"Well I won't be around for long. Just having a look around." Shoo replied. "And shouldn't you be asleep, Noki?" The Pidgey looked on in mock horror before fluttering down to the rooftop beside Shoo.

"What's gonna-gonna-gonna happen if I don't sleep-sleep at night??"

"Some bigger, meaner, hungrier Meowth is gonna eat you!!" He bared his teeth for effect.

Noki shook with fright. "Ooooh! I don't-don't-don't want that to happen! No-no-no-no-no!" She laughed and hopped around on the rooftop merrily.

"And who's that?" She pointed a wing at Ivory. "Your-your-your girlfriend?" Shoo shook his head.

"Huh? Shut up." He swiped the bird, sending her reeling over the edge of the building.

Noki landed with a thud and screeched. "Ouch-ouch-ouch! Goodnight, Shoo-Shoo-shoo!" She took off into the night sky.

"So," Shoo said, very much relieved, "the bakery should be open soon. Let's go!"

Ivory laughed. "Who was that?"

"Oh... just one of the many characters you get to know after living here
all your life."

Shoo could already smell something cooking. "The guy must've started
early today.. We might be late!" He jumped down into the alleyway and
took off.

Ivory shook her head as she ran, following Shoo.

"I'll never understand city Meowths..." 'He sure is cute though...' She
blushed at the thought

Shoo turned a corner and peered into a window behind the bakery. Good.
no one was there.

He unsheathed his claws and picked the lock on the screen door and
scrambled part of the way in to hold the door open. "Ladies first."

Ivory laughed. "You don't need to do that..."

Seeing Shoo' looking upset, Ivory continued.

"But I'll accept anyway!"

Shoo grinned and let the door close. He jumped up onto the counter and
noticed a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls and nosed the pan to the floor.

"Time to eat!"

Shoo jumped off of the counter and picked up a jelly-filled donut. "My
favorite," he grinned and jumped back onto the counter to watch the sun
come up. And there was Noki again.

She laughed, and grinned into the window. "On a date-date-date, eh?
She's cute-cute-cute-cute! Heeheehehee!" Noki pressed her face against
the glass. "What's her name?"

"Ivory," Shoo said between bites. "Don't you have someone else to bug?"

"Oh, no-no," she said. "You know-know-know you're my favorite to look
after!" Another Pidgey landed beside Noki, a rather large and probably
more annoying one. "Well-well-well-well! Boid! Lookie! It's Shoo-Shoo!"

"Hello, Sho--" Boid began, before he was cut off by Noki.

She was singing (Oh, goodness!) something.. but Shoo definitely decided
it was time to get rid of them so he could eat in peace. He smacked at
the glass with a jelly-covered paw and they both scattered.

"Did you have to put up with that often?" Ivory asked. She giggled when she
saw Shoo. His face was covered in jelly! "Uh, Shoo..... I think you need to
wash your face when you're done with that...."

Shoo grinned. "Yes, all the time!" He ignored the jelly that must have
accumulated all over him and picked up another donut in his teeth.

Ivory thought of something. She grabbed a pudding(They make them where I
live, I don't know about anywhere else) donut. But instead of eating it, she
tossed it at Shoo.

"The rest of you needs to match your face!" She laughed as Shoo felt the
rather cold donut hit his tail. And stuck.

"Gak!" Shoo shook the donut from his tail and threw the one in his teeth
at Ivory. "Take that!"

Ivory shook the donut off of her face and grabbed another. This time, though,
it was a huge, fancy, creame-topped donut with a Cherry on top and more
pudding inside. This landed promptly on Shoo's nose, but it was big enough
that it was like a pie, and his whole face was covered in Creme.

Shoo couldn't see anything with large amounts of donut over his eyes..
He wiped some off with his tail and grabbed the biggest donut he could
find and charged at Ivory, tackling her. "Now we're even!" he screeched
as the donut contacted the other Meowth's face.

Shoo was running out of things to throw.

"Okay now what?"

They were both covered in assorted baked goods, as was the bakery
kitchen. He almost wondered why the baker man hadn't come out and chased
them both off with a broom, but he pushed the thought out of his mind;
he was having too much fun to worry about such things!

"Do you know another place to go? There's no food left here!"

"I don't know, but I'm still hungry! How about you?"

Shoo caught a glimpse of their reflections in the overturned pan. "We
look so silly!" He fell over laughing so hard he almost came to tears.

Ivory laughed.

"I think we're wearing more food than we ate!"

Shoo's stomach growled.

"Definitely! How are we gonna get all this off?"

Ivory blinked.

"Maybe your Pidgey friends...?"

"Friends?? What about those stupid birds?"

Ivory shrugged.

"Never mind that. Any ideas?"

Shoo grinned at his reflection.

"No. Do you?"

"I was asking you!"

"So? I answered you, didn't I? I have no idea what to do." He paused as
a thought formulated. "How about the sink?"

"Get WET?! I HATE water! I guess I can eat my way out of this mess..."

"I don't mind water," Shoo said as he climbed onto the counter and
turned on the water in the sink. "But this," he looked down at Ivory, "I
gotta see."

Ivory ignored him, and slowly but surely tried eating her way out. Literally.

Shoo stifled a laugh and got to his bath in the sink basin. "Ya know?
Sometimes, I miss this place."

Shoo shuddered as he stood on the bakery's counter, soaked to the bone.
'But at least I'm clean,' he thought.

He was really starting to wonder where the baker man was when he heard a
loud thump, the door to the front of the shop slamming. Behind an
extremely large man with a menacing broom in hand.

"What in the--," the man bellowed. "Meowth! I shoulda known!" He raised
his broom and swung it around aimlessly to try to scare off the pests..

Ivory hissed, jumped up and scratched the man on the face, leaving not only
red marks, but scraps of donut as well.

The man dropped the broom and grabbed his face, howling in agony.
"Stupid.. feline nuisances!!" He grabbed an iron skillet and threw it at
Ivory, missing her by only a hair.

"Uh oh! I think it's time we got out of here, Ivory!" Shoo bolted
towards the back door and waited.

Ivory snarled.

"I'm not leaving." She jumped up again, and this time, she bit him!(OOC: They
can bite, you know!) Scrating and clawing for all she was worth. Her normally
blue eyes has turned red. There was something strange about Ivory....

"You're what?!" Shoo looked on, horrified. "Gonna get yourself killed!"

Ivory didn't anser, she just kept cratching him. The human knocked her to the
ground, stunning her for a second, but she jumped back up. For an undersized
Meowth, she was actually a little frightening. Her eyes were blazing red at
the moment, and her dark paws didn't do much to help her look any more
docile.

She was muttering something under her breath.

"Oh goodness.." Gathering all the strength he could muster, Shoo leapt
at the man's face and started clawing him himself.

"Might as well kill us both," Shoo said grimly.

Suprisingly, Ivory swiped Shoo.

"Get out of here, this is not your fight."

"No. It _is_ my fight. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be here."

Ivory hissed at him.

"You didn't bring me here. I was coming eventually, with or without you. Go
now, where it's safe. I have a feeling there are others that need your help
more than I do. I am sorry, my friend." As she was saying this, she was
knocked down again. Before she could get back up, the man grabbed a gun,
preparing to shoot her.

However, she jumped onto his harm biting and scratching. One would think she
had gone completely crazy!

Stubborn. He could hardly keep from grinning. Somehow Shoo doubted she
would come to any harm. But he wasn't going to take the chance. "If I
leave, you're coming with me. There's no reason for me to leave you here
alone."

Ivory hissed.

"Yes, there is. But you don't want to know it." Once more, she jumped up and
scratched the man. This time, he shouted, which brought people to see. Ivory
was outnumbered now, but she wasn't ready to give up yet.

She jumped up and scratched each and evry one of them. Then, as the baker
grabbed his gun again,Ivory hissed and jumped out of the way. The bullet hit
one of the baker's leftover donuts, sneding it splattering all over him and
the other humans. Ivory gave him one last swipe before turning to Shoo.

"Now, we can go."

"It's about time!"

Shoo turned and sprinted for the back door.

Ivory gave the humans one last glare before following Shoo.

Shoo ran out of the building with Ivory behind him. He stopped once they
reached a safe distance from the place.

"What was all that about?"

Ivory looked at him. Her eyes were blue again.

"I'd rather not tell you. I haven't told anyone, and I don't plan to. So keep
quiet about this, please?"

Shoo smiled, glad to be out of there.

"Sure. I won't tell anyone. Where do we go now?"

Ivory's eyes flashed red again.

"Not AGAIN..." She moaned. "He's here, somewhere..."

"Who?"

Ivory didn't say anything, she just ran off. Her eyes were red again.

Shoo ran after her. "Wait! Ivory!"

Ivory was ignorant of everything around her. Her eyes flaring bright red, she
rounded corners without seeing them. She crashed through things, but
seemingly didn't feel a thing.

As she ran, she muttered something to herself.

"He will pay..." She was acting very strangly.

Shoo stopped his chase and climbed to the roof of a building. "Oh geeze,
what do I do now??" He jumped to the next roof, and then the next, and
the next, always keeping her in his sights. Something was terribly
wrong.

Suddenly, Ivory stopped. Her eyes were still bright red. She suprised Shoo by
pulling herself on her hind legs and staying up. She readied her claws, just
as a human came around the corner.

He had pokeballs at his waist. A trainer. Just then, Ivory launched herself
on him.

"YOU'LL PAY!" She screeched as she scratched him. Just then, the boy managed
to pull out a pokeball. A Charizard came out. Ivory dropped down from the
human's back, and advanced on the Charizard."Traitor..." She could be heard
to mutter. The Charizard just yawned and slashed her away, cutting her ear.

She jumped back up and kept scratching. The Charizard just knocked her back
down. This repeated over and over, Ivory getting hurt more than Charizard,
but she kept at it.

Shoo's eyes went wide. A Charizard? Ivory's fighting a Charizard! She
could maybe take on a baker with a frying pan, but a Charizard?

Shoo didn't bother climbing down, he just jumped to the ground below. A
wave of pain flashed through his paws as he hit. At least nothing was
broken.

"Ivory, you've got to get out of here!"

Ivory didn't seem to hear. She just kept clawing at the Charizard. Then, she
got him right across the eyes. The Charizard roared and covered it's eyes.
Ivory slashed it again. The Charizard seemed to be weakening a little bit.
Then the trainer seemed to recognise Ivory. He grinned cruelly and returned
the Charizard, callling out another pokemon, a Persian.

Ivory was panting hard. Her eyes flashed blue when she saw the Persian. She
whispered something quietly.

"Daddy?!"

Shoo watched, confused. Then the Persian appeared. What was going on??

Ivory hissed and drew herself up, ready to fight. She startd with a scratch
acros her father's nose. He retaliated with a simple pay day, after his maste
ordered him to. Ivory gasped. She was weakening, fast. Sh had to keep
fighting. No longer was she fighting for revenge. She was fighting for
freedom, and... her life.

Ivory's father said nothing, just kept hitting her with pay day and fury
swipes. Ivory was seriously hurt now. The human's eyes glinted and he rushed
aroud, picking up the coins whilst shouting attacks.

Ivory could barely stand up now. The trainer grinned, calling out another
Persian. Ivory's mother. The R on the human's shirt was all too obvious to
Ivory. He commanded them both to use fury swipes.

Ivory fainted.

"Oh no, Ivory!" Shoo ran up and stood beside her. He looked up at the
two Persians, and then back to Ivory.

He nudged her shoulder to see if she would stir. "Cmon. We gotta get out
of here."

Ivory shook violently, but she was awake. she managed to get up on her feet.
She gave one last scratch across both of the Persian's noses. Then she stuck
er tongue out at them. Then, struggling to her feet, she jumped up to the
human, and attacked.

Not wanting his face scratched any more(How Rockets hate that!), he recalled
the Persians and ran off, holding his face. Ivory collapsed, unable to move
any more.

Ivory opened her eyes about halfway. Oddly enough, they were violet this
time. She could barely move. In fact, she couldn't move at all, without pain.
