The wall of its cavehave been the silent witnesses to the signing of the pact of Biak-na-Bato, an argument between Primo de Rivera and Emilio Aguinaldo that paved the way for the founding of the Biak-na-Bato Republic, the first government formed and founded by Aguinaldo, the head of the katipuneros at that time in November 15, 1897, the first step in becoming the first Republic in Asia.

But as of the present time, only 17 have been explored. Some of these caves are the following: Aguinaldo Cave, Cuarto-Cuarto Cave, and the Bahay Paniqui Cave. Most of these caves contain a crystalline formation of stalactites and stalagmites that show the magnificent ancestry of Mother Nature.

The Paniqui Bat Cave has at least six species of winged mammals, the Kabag-Kabag, Ngusong Kabayo, Bungisngis, Sibsib, Bayakan and Pakibu . Hundreds of thousands of these bats are sheltered in the caves, walls, and ceilings.Inside the National park there are various types of orchids, trees, shrubs, ferns and bushes. There are up to 300 kinds of species of birds endemic to the area, from a cute little maya up to a huge and magnificent Lawin.
