Lewis Carroll was a genious and a poet whose visions reached far into the future. His prophetical abilities are to be compared with those of Nostradamus. He has not always been understood and correctly interpreted, but it's quite obvious that his greatest work, "The Hunting of the Snark"
is pinpointing one of our time's greatest problems within data and software.There is no doubt in my soul that the "Snark" can be identified as Microsoft; maybe also Bill Gates himself !!! Many software producers have disappeared during the recent years, swift and
discretely, and no trace of them has been found, like they have been exposed to the magic of a dangerous Boojum !!! Indeed, Microsoft is nothing else than the real "Boojum Snark" !!!
But, as long as there is a "Bellman" in and among us, we shall all prevail.
In Fit the Fifth - The Beaver's Lesson, is the stanza
They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care;
They pursued it with forks and hope;
They threatened its life with a railway-share;
They charmed it with smiles and soap.
My new version that would year the 21st millennium is titled
"The Hunting of the USB 2.0 Driver in Microsoft Update"
"To seek it with thimbles, to seek it with care;
To pursue it with wareZ and hack;
To threaten Gates' life with a Yahoo-share;
To charm it with phileZ and crack!
