Powers: The ability to manipulate fire. But he cant create it, so he's virtually powerless without an outside source of fire, like a lighter or flamethrower. But in his hands, even the tiniest flame can be a deadly bonfire. To control it, the fire has to be within a 100 yard radius of him and clearly in his eyesight.
Interesting Tit-bits: The comic version of Pyro was a successful gothic romance writer. And when comic John developed the Legacy virus, he could create fire, but it was usually painful. That suggested his mutation was not complete, and my guess is that had it ever completed, he would have been able to create it. His Age Of Apocalypes counterpart was able to create fire, too.

Personality: A total psycho! And, ofcourse, he's a pyromaniac.
First Apperance/Last Apperance: In the comics, John first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #141 in (?)1981(?). He died of the legacy virus in Cable #81 in (?)2001(?)
X-Men Evolution: In X-Men Evolution, John only appears five times. Hopefully, though, in the new seiries and episodes, he will have a large role. Hopefully a main one!
X-Men: John was always terribly understated and overlooked. He wasnt in very many cartoons at all.
X-Men Movie: I HATE BOBBY DRAKE! In the little bit of movie that John is in, creating a fire ball, Bobby has to ruin it by freezing it over and getting John in trouble. Well, puh!
X-Men 2: Mutants United: Hell yeah! What were they trying to do? Make up for lost time in the cartoons and comics? He had a large role, in which he defended Wolverine and his friends by toasting alot of police men/cops. He did right! But I thought him leaving to join Magneto was predictable. Sorry if you havent seen X-Men 2 yet!
Comics: it seems John's understated in everything he ever appeared in! He only ever was in 66 comics. He wrote Gothic Romance novels and was successful. Although he was a villain, he only took around 5 lives. He was more of a hero. When he contracted the legacy virus, he took part in many criminal activities to try and find a cure. Eventually, he was at one of Senator Kelly's speeches. He stopped an assassination using the last blast of his powers and died in Senator Kelly's arms. As he was dying, he begged that no one else would ever die from a war between mutants and the rest of humanity.
