Kriggle Solarinus Lightblade (Kriggle Half-Elven)

Kriggle's history in the world of Sanctuary picks up where his history in the world of Brittannia leaves off (You can find this under the Ultima Online link).

After many years of perfecting his abilities around Brittannia, Kriggle began to formulate a spell to bring him home. He spent a great deal of time and money gathering the materials for this spell, as well as finding skilled mages to assist him in its casting.

When the time had come, everyone assembled near his tower in Trinsic: the mages, his friends, and the knights of his order. His friends and his knights bid him their farewells, then he walked to the stone patio prepared for the spell. He placed the remains of the amulet that had brought him to Trammel in the center of it. The mages gathered in a circle about it, and they all began their part of the incantation.

The spell's casting was exhausting, weakening them greatly even from the beginning. For a number of minutes nothing seemed to be happening. The assembled onlookers wondered if it was in fact gong to work, and doubt began to show on the faces of several of the mages. Kriggle was determined however, and though he could hardly stay standing when the spell finally sparked and opened a rift between worlds, he never faltered.

The portal opened in the center of the circle of mages, which broke apart at that same instant as many of them collapsed from exhaustion. Kriggle took one last look around, bowed to everyone present, and departed through the glowing tear.

Once on the other side, a feirce wind blew between the worlds, sending the remains of the amulet through at his feet. As he heard the metallic "chink", the rift disappeared. He allowed his eyes to adjust to his new surroundings for a moment, then looked around in bewilderment. The land he was now in looked nothing like anywhere he'd ever been or heard of on Krynn. His spirits lowered momentarily, defeat soaking through him. Then he saw a man running on a road near where he stood. The man noticed his presence, and looked at Kriggle, still dressed in his knightly armor, then ran over to him.

Kriggle took a defensive stance, just in case, but the man did nothing menacing, he simply ran up, breathing heavily from a presumably long run and began to speak. "Sir, I am not sure who you are, but I need a lot of help. Dragons are attacking the Queen's city of Cathair Mynoc, near my home. I have been sent to find anyone able to help ward them off. Will you come and help sir?"

Kriggle tossed his ruffled cloak behind him, slid his sword out of his scabbard, which prompted the man to take a few cautios steps back, then looked up to the sky. "Est Sularus oth Mithas," he said, then, looking back to the man who was shaking slightly with fear, "I will come and help, just show me the way." The man's face lost its complexion of fear and changed to a slight smile, "This way." And he bounded away with Kriggle following behind him.
