Incredible Hulk : Other Publications

In addition to his world-famous monthly comic, the Incredible Hulk has appeared in countless other publications during his existence. Many are published by Marvel, although others have been created independently with Marvel's permission. The following is an archive of just some of these publications I've collected from here, there and everywhere...

Above: This article was found in Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper on October 1, 1999. The guy in the article is former AFL footballer, Rene Kink who played Australian Rules Football for several clubs in the 1970s/80s. This is basically a promo stunt for the Superules football competition, which is a contest for now-retired former football champions. Kink was known as `The Incredible Hulk' in his playing days because of his `hulking' stature and close resemblance (more so back then) to Lou Ferrigno.

This cover image of the April 1994 edition of GamePro video game magazine was sent to me by TheHulk. Check out his great Hulk FanFiction Page.

A teaser advertisement from GamePro magazine.

Above: An advertisement featuring snow-boarder Kurt Wastell as the Incredible Hulk in classic Lou Ferrigno fashion! I am unsure as to what exactly is being advertised here, as this single page out of a snow-boarding magazine was given to me on its own. I thought it was pretty cool though - worth posting up on my site.

A 390-page book featuring all-new stories starring the Hulk in his various incarnations. Edited by Stan Lee and Peter David. Copyright Marvel 1998.

I stumbled across this 1980 hardcover Hulk Annual at a local second-hand book shop - for a measly $1!. In it there are statistics and interviews with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno, pictures from the TV show, a reprint of Incredible Hulk #3 and a few short stories.

This annual was published in 1979 and features profiles and interviews with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno, pictures from the TV show, a reprint of Incredible Hulk #1 and a few short stories.

Published in 1983, this annual features a reprint of Incredible Hulk #5, reprint of Incredible Hulk Annual #11 and a few short stories.

Featured within this 1984 annual is a reprint of What If? #12, Incredible Hulk #104 and a couple of short stories.

The 17th of 27 issues of The Hulk magazine.

Devil & Hulk #2. Maggio (May), 94. As you'll notice, this comic is an Italian reprint of Incredible Hulk #381, Published by Marvel Italia. It also reprints Incredible Hulk #382 as well as a Daredevil reprint. The cover and pages are glossier than the originals. From what I can gather, this series began with reprints of Incredible Hulk #'s 379 and 380.

This little number was bought at the local Safeway supermarket for a disgraceful 35 cents!! It reprints panels from Incredible Hulk #314 and is of picture/story book format. Published in London, 1990.

The Incredible Hulk Piccolo Pop-Up Book. Stars Firebrand as the villain. Published by Pan, 1981.

The Incredible Hulk Piccolo Pop-Up Book - "Trapped!". Miniature pop-up book: story set in a mine shaft. Published by Pan, 1983.

Starburst #4, 1978. Printed in England. Features a 5-page article `Small Screen Superheroes' which includes pics and info about the Hulk TV show.

Starlog SF TV Superheroes & Space Fantasy Poster Book #1, 1978.

This old thing was given to me by my friend Matt. It's a 1970 hard cover edition which features stories with pictures as well as crosswords etc. of Carptain America, Spiderman, Thor, Submariner, Iron Man, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, the FF and of course, the big green one. Printed in England.

The Incredible Hulk #4. Published by Newton Comics. Australian b&w reprint of the true Incredible Hulk #4 which also includes the first two chapters of Incredible Hulk #2. Features a colour centerfold of Ghost Rider. Other issues of the Hulk title in this series, as well as other reprints contained Hulk centrefolds, mostly enlarged versions of the cover images.

This is the title font of a 1980 edition `El Increible Hulk' magazine, which were the Spanish versions of Hulk's original Marvel comic tales. Thanks to Julio Molina for the graphic - be sure to check out his awesome Hulk page: HulkLibrary.com !
