"Rove! Rove!" Corinne Grant called excitedly as she raced down the corridors of Channel 10 headquarters. Rove McManus peered over the top of the Wrestling Mania magazine he'd been reading in the waiting room, and watched with an amused expression as she ran up to him, panting and out of breath.
"Yes?" he asked innocently, knowing that she too puffed to say anything. Corinne gave him a dirty look as Peter Hellier, who was sitting beside Rove, laughed.
"We did it!" she said finally when she was able to. Rove's grin vanished and Pete stopped laughing instantly, both barely daring to hope that what she said was true.
"Theythey agreed?" Rove asked shakily, his tone disbelieving. Corrine's face broke out in a huge grin as she nodded. Rove let out a whoop of joy as he leapt up and enveloped her in a hug. Pete jumped up too, and they hugged each other as they bounced around excitedly in a circle.
"We're goin' 'round the country!" Rove yelled happily, as the other two just laughed. They had been fighting with the network for over a year, trying to get them to agree on a tour of Rove[live] around Australia, and now it was finally going to happen.
"When?" Rove asked breathlessly after they had calmed down a bit.
"The end of July, then on through August," Corinne replied, glancing at a piece of paper in her hand that held all the details and restrictions of their tour. Pete froze.
"August?" he repeated, his face falling. Corinne nodded, looking at him quizzically.
"Yeah, why?" she asked.
He shook his head. "I'm contracted to do mini-series over in America in August! I made the deal ages ago, but they've only just got around to organizing the filming."
The other two looked at him in dismay.
"Isn't there any way you can get out of it?" Rove asked.
"I doubt it," Pete answered sadly. "They've already had to postpone it several times, and I'm bound by contract."
Rove looked at Corrine. "Will Channel 10 let us push the date forward a bit?" he asked hopefully. Corrine looked dubious.
"They were reluctant to even give us this, Rove. If we try to push they might give up on it all together." The three looked at each other, wondering what to do.
"Look guys," Pete said finally, "We've been working hard for this for ages. We can't just give up on it because I'm not going to be there! It shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement - no one that's better than me though!"
The other two smiled briefly at his attempt to lighten the mood.
"It won't be the same without you Petey," Corinne said sadly. Rove nodded, clapping him lightly on the shoulder.
"Who am I going to have to pull faces at me while I'm on air?" he asked with a sad smile. It was meant to be a joke, but the other two just looked forlorn.
"Come on guys, cheer up!" Pete said, trying to lift their spirits. "If you do well this time, nothing will keep me from going on the second one!" This brightened the other two up considerably, and they all quickly began brainstorming ideas for the shows as they headed outside.

"Do you want to call him, or should I?" Corrine asked, looking up at Rove from her notepad. Rove shook his head.
"I'll pop in to see him tomorrow morning before my interview," he said. "The Triple J studios is in the same building."
"Sure," Corrine shrugged and quickly looked back down at her notepad to hide her smile. She had felt a suspicion for some time that Rove had a slight crush on Wil, and she found it amusing that he was trying to be casual about going to see him, whilst simultaneously leaping at the first change at meeting him. And from the way those two acted around each other, Corinne was fairly certain that Rove's feelings weren't one sided. She just wished that they'd stop mucking around and get on with it.

Wil's breath caught in his throat. Was Rove saying what he thought he was saying? Before he could dare to hope, Rove stood up from the chair opposite, crossing the room in what seemed next to no time. Swinging one leg to either side of Wil's own, Rove straddled him, wrapping his arms around Wil's shoulders. Slowly, tantalizingly, he leant forward.
"I could ride you right here, right now. Hard and fast," he whispered, nibbling lightly on Wil's ear. He transferred his attentions to his other ear. "I could fuck your brains out. And do you know why?" He leant back, so that he was face to face with Wil. Then ever so slowly - so slowly it was almost like he wasn't moving at all - he closed the distance between their mouths.
When his lips were bare millimetres away from Wil's own, he stopped. "Because you want me to." His voice was so soft, so laden with desire, that Wil barely heard it at all. And then Rove's lips were on his own, and his reality shattered. Was it possible to spontaneously combust from sheer lust? Even if it wasn't, Wil felt he was sure about to. Rove's tongue was in his mouth, dueling with his own. It was that touch of intimacy that caused something in Wil to snap.
Rove's world upended in a blur or movement, and he suddenly found himself lying on his back on the floor, with Wil on top of him, pinning him down.
