I don't care. I just don't care. Whatever they were trying to do with this scene they just HAD to know that it wasn't proper. I mean, come on! Look at it! And while Joel might try to defend it, and Jerry might try to defend it, I know that there's only ONE thing that position signifies and frankly it's one I'd rather not have to imagine anyone taking, not even a giant sexless robot. That just makes me think that there's a giant SEXED robot out there and he's got plans for poor Raxephon.
Which is pronounced Ra-se-fon instead of Rocks-ZE-fon like I would have guessed. Maybe my skills at the English language were temporarily put on hold when I was first introduced to this show. I remember it well, staring incredulously at the wallscroll situated right above Jerry's computer. There it was, Raxephon, a giant robot and a rather impressive looking one at that. And what was he doing? Why, coming out of a giant Faberge egg!
I am not shitting you, though sometimes I might wish I was. Raxephon the giant robot does indeed come out of a Faberge egg for reasons I don't think I'd be able to communicate to you even if I knew what they were myself. And now that Joel's abandoned me with his long harange about how he likes how an anime can try very hard to "create a persistant world" or something like that with inventive names for episodes and the horrid overuse of the word "suffuse" in EVERY FREAKING PREVIEW I'm all by myself in laying the hate down on this show (Though Joel took it upon himself to correct me. Apparently he wasn't defending Raxephon, but refering more to the excellent Cowboy Bebop, which is perfectly acceptable). Listen to me. I hate giant Faberge eggs and by association I hate the giant robots that come out of them.
