| -SOTF Sloth Definitions & Slave Ownership Guidelines- Personal Slaves: Slaves who are the sole property of their owners. * Corrupters and Blasphemers may own one personal slave within the guild. All Master/Mistresses of Sloth and Division Commanders may own up to two personal slaves within the guild. Members of the High Command Chain [GC, SiC, TiC], and the DC of Sloth are allowed no more than three personal slaves within the guild. Other members who wish to own SotF slaves must transfer to the Sloth division as a Master/Mistress. Houses Slaves: Unowned slaves who are members of SotF and are available for ownership by Corrupters, Blasphemers, Commanders, and Masters/Mistresses of Sloth. Until properly owned, they are for use by all SotF members in SotF establishment. [ie. Serving, cleaning, etc..] * Owners will be chosen based on highest ranking, in most cases, with preference given to those who do not already own a SotF slave. Submissive: A submissive is a free person that has given their life, by their own free will, to serving their Dominant. Since a submissive is a free person, they are not required, and definately not expected to serve anyone except their Dominant. They are a partner to their Dominant, and live in an alternative lifestyle that suites them both. In many cases, although the submissive is a free person, they consider themselves 'owned'. *Any harm or disrespect shown to a submissive, will be handled in the same manner as any other free person within SotF. Servant: An endentured servant works for those that can afford them. It is an occupational life that may be passed down generation to generation, or a more recent occupation change. They take the role of Butler, Cook, Maid, Nanny, etc.. Although, they may have one official title, many endentured servants take on many roles. *The roles assigned to them is strictly done so via their employer. Here in SotF, only Pride Members, Division Commanders, and the High Command Staff [GC, SiC, TiC] can employ servants. How they choose to use them, is entirely at their command. |
| -Slaving Rules and Regulations- 1) Slaves, Masters, and Mistresses must behave in a fashion suitable to their chosen roles. If you should come across a slave acting like a free person or performing acts which, while not illegal, are certainly unbecoming of a slave, please log the encounter and send the copy to the slave's owner and the Sloth DC. Likewise, Masters/Mistresses not performing to expectation should be reported in the same manner. Repeated complaints on a particular slave/Master/Mistress will result in the slave/Master/Mistress being fired, placed on probation, or demoted. 2) Slaves are the sole property of their owners, and must be respected as such, therefore, a slave may not be harmed, punished or used by anyone other than their owner without permission from the owner first. Slaves are property, but they are very expensive property and are usually highly valued by their owner. Harm in any form, physical or psychological, will be addressed. Usually this is done in a monetary payment of a value decided upon by the owner in lieu with the commander of Sloth, but any fair action that satisfies the owner is satisfactory. The owner may also sue for the probation, demotion, or firing of the offender if the offender is a member of SotF. 3) If a slave is reserved, a Head Boy or Girl, or both, it is recommended this be indicated in the slaves personal identification papers (profile). When first meeting a slave, it is wise to read their personal identification papers in order to see how you must modify your expectations and behavior relating to them. 4) Slaves address all free persons as Master or Mistress accordingly, unless they are specifically told by the free person not to do so . The caste system, or social classes of free persons are not a slave's concern, therefore, slaves do not address free persons as Sir, Milord, Milady or Ma'am. A slave may use a free person's name in their presence, but only if the person is known to them personally and if they continue to use the Master/Mistress title. (Example: Master John; Mistress Jane.) 5) A slaves use of 1st person or 3rd person is a preference that varies from free person to free person; it will be decided by each slave's owner. However, when a slave is speaking in a public place, to a free person, the use of 3rd person is recommended. 6) Slaves may not complain and free persons are never wrong, unless the free person says or does something in conflict with the slave's owner. The slave may not obey orders from a free person that conflict with the orders their Master/Mistress has given them -- the owner's wishes reign supreme. The wishes of free persons comes next, and a slave cares for his or herself only when all others are satisfied. 7) A slave may not handle money or be found in possession of currency except when he or she is performing a duty on his or her owner's behalf. A slave may not own property or land. Anything that a slave 'possesses' is actually the property of the owner. A slave does not 'own' slaves but may be 'in charge' of slaves by being designated as the Head Girl or Boy of their Master/Mistresses chain. |
