Landon James Gunther-Velrow
Laila called him her 'Little Man'.  Ever since he had been big enough to understand, he had always played the 'man of the house' role.  He is fiercely protective of not only his sister, Noel Anastasia, but also his mother.

As a tiny babe, he slept like the world held no interest for him.  Once he was old enough to crawl, he made sure he was never too far away from his sister's side.  When they were real little, if the babes were seperated by more than a few feet, both babes would begin to holler and stretch out their little bodies for the other.

Landon has proved his own against his outgoing sister.  He is silent, observant, protective, and rough.  Ever the silent artist that sculpts the world around him, he reminds Laila daily of his father.

Ana rarely slept as a tiny babe.  She was eager to watch the world around her and learn.  She is deeply attached to her brother, though far more adventurous than him too.  When he scorns her, she listens to him though.. as if he truly was the 'man of the house'.  Landon helps to keep his sister in line.

She is eager to make her mark in the world.  Much as Laila did as a child, Ana has taken to dance and paint.  She idolizes her mother, and mimics everything Laila does in hope that one day she too will be like her mom.  Ana possess something Laila doesn't though.  A Hunger.  Little Ana possess a hunger for power not seen usually in children so little.  Perhaps it is a good thing she has an older brother to watch over her.  Who knows how much trouble this little darling will start.
Nate had been the older brother any little girl would have dreamed of.  He spent countless hours catering to his little sisters every whim and fantasy.  He was her constant companion and in many ways her teacher.  All of her fondest memories of childhood were wrapped up into him.
All she had were those memories from the time she was 3 until 17.  Many years had passed from the time she had seen him last. No longer was he the same little boy that read her stories by the fire. No longer was the little man that taught her the basics of fighting.  He had grown to be a stranger.. and a man in his own right.
Upon his return, one thing was evident.  That bond that was established so easily at birth still remained strong.  Growing up in two different realms, two totally different lifestyles.. she carried him with her and he kept her alive in his memories and heart.  A strand of beads now dances in those red strands of silk, she calls hair.  These beads had once been carried by him and held the initials.. LNV in memory of her.
They quickly re-established what they always had. It has been made known to them that their bond is so tight that they are closer than even twins, and each feels the others pain.

Nate had custody of Bella from the time she was a small thing.  The innocent gew up on tales about her Aunt Laila, but did not meet her face to face until her Uncle came to believe there was no more he could teach the child.  At the age of 17, she was placed under the temporary custody of her Aunt.  Uncle Nate believed there was more that Laila could teach the child than he could and now that she was growing into her own as a Mauvemontir... she was a threat.
He could see she was maturing far too fast under his care and that soon he would not be able to stop either of them from the inevitable if she remained with him.  The pull was too intense and too high a risk- it was the same reason he had kept himself away from his own sister for so long.  He only hoped that his little sister could help keep the girls demons at bay for as long as possible.  Bella... had other plans.  She wanted to know her destiny.  She wanted to understand the hold her Aunt held over her Uncle to use for her own advantage.  She wanted to know just who and what she was.  Aunt Laila would become the ultimate mentor ... for better or worse.
