My great passions in life (besides my work) are my family and traveling. I've recently discovered that I love scuba diving, as you might have already guessed. I also like to putter around in my various perennial borders and take our German Short Haired pointer, Benjamin, for long hikes in the woods. We live in the Hudson River Valley and are within five minutes of the Appalachian Trail, Manitoga Nature Center, Constitution Marsh, Castle Rock Nature Preserve, and many other sources of fabulous long trails that disappear up into the gently rolling hills, affording breath-taking views of the Hudson River.
We love to travel as a family. In the summer of '99 we took the boys on their first trip to Italy and visited Venice and Florence. For summer 2000, we rented a villa in the Ardeche region of southern France. This year, we took an incredible three week vacation to Asia, visiting numerous islands in the Phillipines such as Boracay and Cebu. We also went to Hong Kong, where my husband's family is from. Other recent trips that I have enjoyed were a trip to Beijing in the fall and the Netherlands in the spring of 2001.
