Otto's Blinkies
April 30, 2005
Haven't blogged for quite a while. Not that I've been busy. Just taking a break. It is a bit rainy today. Deanna phoned. Saw him last night on 88th. I don't want to publically post my response to this. Deanna and I were Scrapbooking last night. Met a lovely gal named Corey. We talked about life and Precept Ministries.

Got up at 7:30am. I actually like getting up early. I'm battling a headache (3rd straight week). Cleaned house, went grocery shopping, made grilled cheese for lunch. Tonight is "Slowcooker Saturday". Lord willing, I will finish my cross-stitch while watching "The Notebook"

February 25, 2005
I had a good day at school today. I am almost caught up with my marking and assessment. Just in time for report cards. They are due March 14th. Tonight I went to a Nutrition Seminar. Very educational! I need to rethink my eating habits. I laughed when he said that Canadians are the biggest doughnut eaters in the world. I know our family has kept that number up.

February 3, 2005
Work seemed very productive. I actually feel like I'm almost up-to-date with marking/assessment. After PBS(personal bible study)I watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Despite the 60s partying, I liked it. I think Audrey Hepburn is beautiful. I am almost finished the 4th out of 5 sections in my cross-stitch sampler.

February 2, 2005
Happy Groundhog's Day! The 2 Canadian groundhogs are differing reports. So glad I don't rely on a marmot to forecast the weather. Today is beautiful. After a long time of rain. It actually looks like Spring is coming. Did some errands after work. Picked up a few DVDs. Watch "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" while I cross-stitched. It was okay.

Two things that I never experienced before happened. First on Sunday, I was in the bathroom, and I knocked something into the sink and down the drain it went. I didn't know what it was so after church I unscrewed the drain pipe. Water came out and soaked several wash cloths (they are in the dryer right now. But I got it out. I was impressed with myself. The second one was today. During a break at school, I could see in the distance Canada Geese flying randomlike but moving toward a "V" formation. It was quite extraordinary to see, watching the birds move in or out to the edges. Two other teachers also stood there to watch.
January 22, 2005

January 19, 2005

More rain. It was a very good day at school. The spelling dictation went well. Afterschool, I stayed and completed all my Interim Report Cards (with 5 days to spare - A RECORD!). Spent some time talking to Karen and then published my 101 Things to do in 1001 Days (maybe that should be 10001). Now I'm off to do my Precepts work (Day 6 of Philippians).

September 6, 2004

Went out with Laurena for breakfast at the IHOP. Then popped into School to do some last minute preparations. The photocopier is down so Lord willing, it will be back in operation tomorrow. I went over to my mom's place to pick up a square dancing dress for tomorrow's hoe down. I watched a bit of the US Open, saw Lindsay Davenport beat Vanessa Williams. Then cleaned up the computer I gave my dad. Before I left I watched 2 episodes of CSI (the station is having a marathon). Since I don't have a tv, today was a treat.

September 4, 2004

Went for a run this morning. Actually, I should probably call it a walk/run. There were equal parts. It has been 2 weeks since I've been out and Kathy and I are running(?) a 10K in Surrey next Saturday. The weather was perfect, cloudy, light sprinkle. During the walking, I was reminded about priorities again. God has been really hitting me on this. "Do the big things first",I can hear Mike Woods say. What are the big things to me?[What are your big things?]I need to go to school for a couple hours. I wouldn't be surprised if I see a few co-workers today. Later on, everyone is going to Cultus Lake for Labour Day festivities. I think there may be a dance.

September 3, 2004

School starts next week. Today I was in my classroom. Do you ever get those moments where you wonder if you could be totally up to date in your life? I have never been up to date at school. It really is a terrible feeling. Even at the end of a year. You think of all those things you never got to, lessons not done, words not said. I realize it is the enemy but sometimes I wonder, should I have done more?
