| Hamsters are small creatures called rodents. They are closely related to mice, rat, and voles. All hamsters are solitary, nocturnal, and burrowing animals. They have front teeth for gnawing down wood and keeping their teeth nice and short. All hamsters have things in common. They all have small puffy body with a coat of fur. They have small paws with sharp nails(They scratch on wood occasionally to keep it from growing.) They have a short tail. And they all have a storage area in their cheeks. Where they store nuts, seeds, and food they carry. All of these characters belongs to all kinds of hamsters. But exactly how many breeds are there? Let's review. -Golden hamster: (Mesocricetus auratus) They are very native to Asian minors. And they are the most popular hamsters. They are also known as Syrian hamsters. -Dwarf hamster: (Chinese hamster) They are found in Europe and Asia(China.) They come in two colors. White and gray(mostly gray.) -Teddy Bear hamster: Looks like the Golden hamster. They can be black or golden. Some breeds hamster may not be able to cooperate with one another.
