Chapter Ten: You Liar!!
"Because I really don't want you to."
Lori looked at him, not knowing what he was thinking. He looked back at her and said, "Please don't leave."
"O--OK. I won't leave," she stammered.
The two confused teenagers sat down next to each other on the couch and Jesse said, "Lorr---"
"Yeah?"
"You're really pretty."
"Oh. Um...thanks. You're really pretty, too."
Jesse smiled at her and took her hand. She looked at him and wondered what he was thinking. He was starting to freak her out just a little.
"So....um...how's everything going with Dream Street or whatever?"
"Good. We're going on tour next month."
"Sweet."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Lorr---"
"Yeah Jesse?"
"I know this is going to sound forward, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about you."
"You haven't?"
"No."
**WITH JESSICA AND THE GUYS**
"Does Jesse like Lorr?" Chris was asking. Jessica looked at him and said, "Yeah. He told me that he did yesterday."
"He seems to be really into her," Greg agreed. "But I don't know. Maybe they'll just end up being close friends."
"You never know these days," Jessica said.
"True," Matt agreed.
"Where is Lorr anyway?" Chris looked around then Jessica said, "She's with Jesse."
"She is?" Matt sounded extremely bummed even though he tried to hide it. Jessica just nodded.
"Oh. That's cool," Matt said.
"Do you like her Matt?"
"Well, sure. As a friend I do," Matt told her. Jessica looked at him with a puzzling look then said, "That's cool."
**WITH LORI AND JESSE**
"Hi. Is Jesse there?" The person on the phone asked.
The phone had just rung and Jesse got up and answered it.
"This is Jesse," The voice said.
"Hi baby. It's Ashley," The voice said on the other line. Jesse looked over at Lori to see her looking at the carpet then walked out of the living room.
"Hi sweetie," He said.
"What's going on baby?"
"Nothing."
"Any fans bothering you?"
"No, not really."
"I miss you."
"I miss you, too."
"Aww Jesse."
"It's true. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since I saw you last."
"But you just saw me last night, remember?"
"I remember. I never forget things that happen between us."
"Same here."
"I really miss you Ashley," he told her.
It had been 10 minutes since Jesse had come back so Lori decided to see what was going on. She found him in the kitchen having a deep conversation with somebody on the phone. She listened in on it and she wasn't happy with what she found out.
"I love you Jesse."
"I love you, too Ash."
" I can't wait till we're together again."
"Neither can I."
"Are you busy tomorrow?"
"No. I'm not busy tomorrow."
"So you don't have any meet and greets or anything?"
"Nope. I'm yours for the day sweetie."
"Really?" Ashley asked excitedly
"Yeah."
"Yay."
Jesse laughed and turned around when he realized he was being stared at. When he saw Lori standing there he turned around and said, "I got to go Ashley. Bye."
