Chapter One: Gettin' Ready
"Chris, are you done gelling your hair yet?" his friend, Jesse, asked. Jesse sounded extremely annoyed---after all, Chris spent almost an hour on his hair.
"Almost Jesse," Chris replied. He finished the finishing touches then said, "I can't look like crap when I'm going to a meet and greet. I might see some cute girls there."
"Well, I'm sure the girls that go to the meet and greet don't want to date a guy or know a guy who spends more time on his hair than she does," Greg said.
"And I'm sure that the girls want a guy who looks decent. I'm sure they don't want to date some scrub," Chris stated.
"Chris has a point," Frankie put in.
"So, what time is this meet and greet anyway?" Matt asked.
"It's at 11:45," Frankie replied.
"How long is it going to last?" Chris questioned. He turned around and faced his friends, waiting for an answer.
"How long do meet and greets usually last?" Greg asked looking at Chris.
"About 1-2 hours," Chris answered.
"So that's probably how long it's going to be," Greg said.
"I wonder if my girlfriend's coming," Matt said.
"Who? Brittany?" Chris inquired.
"Yeah," Matt answered.
*(*ACROSS TOWN*)*
"Lorr, you almost ready to go to the mall?" Her friend Jessica was asking.
"Why are we going to the mall again?" Lori asked looking at her friend.
"We're going to a Dream Street meet and greet. Plus, we're going to their concert later tonight," Jessica reminded her friend. She was quite surprised that Lori didn't remember something like that because Lori was a HUGE Dream Street fan. Her favorite member was Matt, who was kind of like her. Her second favorite member was Greg. Then it went Jesse, Chris and Frankie.
"Oh goody. I'm gonna act like a total moron. They're going to think I'm a loser. Maybe even a dweeb," Lori whined.
"You'll never know if you don't go. We should leave right now so we can get there early," Jessica said.
"Why? So you can flirt with one of the guys?" Lori joked. Jessica just laughed, but then stopped.
"That's not one of my plans. I just want to get there early," Jessica said acting innocent.
