Greg- So, Matt, have you asked Lorr out yet?
Matt- Lorr?
Frankie- You know...that shy girl who you hung out with the last time we were here.
Matt- Oh. Her....Umm....(pause) No, I haven't asked her out yet.
Chris- What? Why not? (pause) Don't you have the hots for her?
Matt- Dude, just shut up.
Chris- Don't you like her though?
Matt- Of course I like her. (pause) I mean, what's not to like? She's cute. She's difficult. She's sweet. She's nice. She's----
Narrator- A girl about 5'3'' had just appeared behind him and the guys (all except Matt) immediately noticed her.
Greg- Standing right behind you dude.
Matt- Standing right behind me?
Narrator- He turned around and sure enough Lori was standing there, looking cute and innocent as always. Matt just looked at her, not knowing what to say.
Lori- What? You're not going to say hi?
Narrator- She frowned.
Matt- (in a whisper) Hey.
Chris- So, Lorr, do you have a boyfriend yet?
Narrator- Matt looked back at him and shot him an evil glare then looked back at Lori, who was looking at Chris.
Lori- No. I don't have a boyfriend yet.
Chris- Aww. How come?
Narrator- She shrugged her shoulders.
Lori- Nobody's caught my eye yet and besides, no guy wants to date a shy girl. They all want a hot outgoing girl who puts out.
Matt- Not me.
Narrator- Lori just looked at him, not knowing what to say, but she knew that she didn't believe it. She figured he was just telling her what she wanted to hear.
Frankie- I know somebody who'd date a shy girl.
Lori- You do? (pause) Well, give him my number and tell him to call me.
Frankie- Why? He's right here.
Narrator- Frankie pointed to Matt, who immediately started blushing.
Jesse- Aww. You made him blush.
Lori- Matt?
Matt- (angrily) You guys can't keep your mouths shut.
Narrator- Lori looked at him.
Lori- Matt, do you think we could talk....alone?
Narrator- The guys immediately walked off leaving Matt and Lori standing there. She walked over to a nearby bench, Matt following her. Once they sat down he turned towards her.
Matt- We need to talk.
Lori- What do we need to talk about?
Matt- Well this is kind of hard for me to say, seeing how we haven't seen each other in so long....
Narrator- His voice trailed off and Lori just looked at him, wondering what he was going to say.
Matt- But I- I um-- I'll be right back.
Narrator- And with that he walked off, leaving Lori with a puzzled look on her face. When Matt walked over to his frinds who were in Radio Shack they immediately walked over to him, wondering why he wasn't with Lori.
Greg- Where's Lori?
Matt- She's- She's--I don't know.
Chris- You don't know where she is? You left her when you like her? Why'd you do that?
Matt- I- I want- just forget it. Never mind.
Frankie- What's wrong with you?
Matt- I- I don't know. I want to tell her how I feel but----
Narrator- Once again his voice trailed off.
Lori- Just tell me how you feel then Matt.
Narrator- Matt turned around was face to face with Lori, who had an adoring look on her face. The guys slowly walked away, knowing that they should be left alone to talk.
Matt- Lorr.....
Lori- Yeah Matt?
Matt- Would you ever consider being my girlfriend?
Lori- Are you serious?
Narrator- He slowly nodded his head.
Matt- Yeah, I'm serious. (pause) So, um, would you?
Lori- I don't know.
Matt- Oh. OK
Narrator- He frowned and started walking away when she reached for his hand, which made him turn around.
Lori- (letting go of his hand) Don't walk away.
Matt- Lorr, I- I want to be with you. (pause) I mean I really want to be with you. I--I want to take care of you....
Lori- Don't you have a girlfriend?
Narrator- She remembered what her friend Jessica had said to her the day before.
Matt- N- No. (pause) I mean no.
Lori- (eyeing him) Are you lying to me?
Matt- No. Of course not. Lorr, I don't have a girlfriend. I'm single and completely unattached. (pause) Why? Who told you that I had a girlfriend?
Lori- Jessica did. (pause) She said when she was visiting her aunt in New York she caught you and some girl making out or whatever.
