| The next series of alleles is the "En" group, including "En" and "en." | |||||||||||||||||||
| En: English Spotting When combined with the "en" allele (Enen,) spotting is caused and distributed throughout. When combined with another "En" allele (EnEn,) spotting is only on the head. en: Absence of English Spotting When combined with another "en" allele (enen,) there is no spotting on the rabbit and you have whatever fur color you have so far. |

| The next line of alleles is the "Du" series, which deals with the White Belt Dutch pattern. It includes the dominant "Du" and the "du" | |||||||||||||||||||
| Du: Absence of White Belt Dutch When paired with another "Du" allele (DuDu) there is no Dutch pattern. When paired with a "du" allele (Dudu), there are partial white-and-colored patterns. du: White Belt Dutch When paired with another "du" allele (dudu,) it cases the White Belt Dutch pattern. This means that there is a large band of white going around the back and belly, staring at the neck and ending at the rump (or thereabouts.) This makes it look like it has a giant belt of white color. The front legs are white, and the back feet are white, along with the tail. The head, back legs, and hips are whatever color you have so far. There is also a blaze of white going down the forhead to the mouth, but it is not always present. |

| The next allele group is the "V" group, including "V" and "v." | |||||||||||||||||||
| V: Normal When paired with another "V" allele (VV) the rabbit's color remains the same. When paired with a "v" allele (Vv), there are colored Dutch-like markings on a white or colored coat, or white spotting on a colored coat. There is no known rabbit breed with the Vv allele, though. v: Blue-Eyed White (Vienna White) When paired with another "v" allele (vv) it negates all other colors and turns the eyes blue. |

| The next group is the "W" series, which further deals with the Agouti pattern. It includes the "W" and "w" genes. | |||||||||||||||||||
| W: Normal Agouti Band Width Coloration unaffected. w: Doubled Band Width In an agouti rabbit, the middle bands of color in the hairs double in size |
|||||||||||||||||||
| Another set of genes is the "Si" group, which deals with silvering. It includes "Si" and "si." | |||||||||||||||||||
| Si: Absence of Silvering Coloration unaffected si: Silvering White or Silver tipped hairs are present amongst normal hairs. |
|||||||||||||||||||
| This is only the basics of rabbit fur genetics. Here are a few rabbit colors and their allleles, to show how they combine. |
