The B4 and A.F.T.E.R. run was held on Saturday, August 28, and a hangover run on Sunday, August 29, 2004. (A few early birds turned up on Friday, August 27).
This event brought hashers from far and wide; Roman Polanski and Chinese Takeaway from Islamabad as well as Breaks Wind from Cleveland, OH. A total of 24 hashers from Ottawa, L.A.F.F.T.E.R., and Islamabad were in attendance.
Saturday dawned cool and cloudy but the weather cleared during the morning and the run went off relatively on time at 2 p.m. The hares set an interesting course through the woods, along the road and even included a boat trip to the beer stop and then on on again along the road and through the woods.
FatAss had prepared a suckling pig for supper which, after the circle, was enjoyed by all. On Sunday the weather did not co-operate, and during the early morning there was a steady drizzle which later deteriorated into rain. This, however, did not discourage the hard core hashers and it was on on through the downpour! Because of the horrible weather the circle was held inside the cottage. Following a light lunch of leftover pork from the day before, it was ON-OUT and back to our regular lives in the city !!!
