For those of you who have never seen Invader ZIM and are completely confused about what in the hell I'm talking about, here's a short explanation of what it's all about...
The basic plotline is that Zim is an alien sent to Earth on a bogus mission to conquer it (really he's just being sent here to get him off his home planet because he's completely inept at being in the Irkin military). He goes to school like a "normal" human child during the day and plots the Earth's demise at night. His robot Gir was sent along with him from Irk, supposedly as a helper, but really he's just a joke, he's completely useless and ends up destroying things rather than fixing them.
On Earth, Zim sets about disguising his house (with a Men's bathroom sign on the front door, no less), Gir (as a green dog with a zipper down his front) and himself (as an "Earth child", with purple eyes and an outfit strangely similar to Piglet's on Winnie The Pooh). He sets up innocent looking garden gnomes outside that are really an advaned security system to keep out prowling humans.
Dib is the only kid in the school who knows Zim is an alien, but no one believes him because they all think he's weird and paranoid (which he really is, so it's no surprise they think so). Neither his dad (a famous scientist) or his sister Gaz (gamer extraordinaire) believe him either, they have better things to do than listen to a crazy boy ranting about aliens taking over the earth. Dib spends all his time trying to prove to the world that Zim is an alien and save the world, but much like on Gilligan's island, something always goes wrong leading to many humourous outcomes and such...
