A Legacy
From an empty book our journey unfolds
Holding memories of past, present and future
To a curious mind the story beholds
The bewitching writings of the author

Every waking moment turns a page
Every breath, every sigh not missed by the ink
Leaving a legacy devoured not by age
A deep essence missing not by a blink

Each word however remote
Carries a time on its shoulders
A scribbling hand that wrote and wrote
Ignoring mistakes and errors

What possessed the writer so?
Could it be demons or insanity
For one might not ever know
If a secret was missed in history

So turn them back and start to look
Read the chapters thoroughly
For every effort that you took
Rewards you with an understanding surely
