4/1/27 - 4/30/00 Ralph Was the love of my life. He is really missed around here. He was always in a good mood and wanted to tease or pick on someone. Never did complain much even when he got real sick. He loved my children just like his own. His dogs meant the world to him also. I know they miss him as bad as I do. There wasn't a day to go by but what he held both of them unless he was in the hospital. Below is some recent pictures of him. We love you Ralph |

Ralph was a truck driver for many years. He loved it the best in life. He has told many a story about the 2 lane roads he drove before interstates come in the picture. He hauled logs, lumber, produce boxes and cotton in his last years of trucking. He stepped off a loboy trailer one day in the early 80's and broke his right hip. In 1988 a log hit him in the back when he unhooked the log binder. hurt him bad enough he was put out of work for a long time. Went back to work hauling cotton in 1993 and was doing fine then another company asked him to help them part time. he was getting the skids on the trailer so he wouldn't loose them and fell off and broke his left hip. From then on he went down hill. He was bad sick for 15 months and we fought it every way we knew too. God Bless Him |

Taken 2/14/00 This was the last picture of Ralph & I taken. It was taken at a church dinner they called Hillbilly Heaven for local senior citzens. He had a real good time and started going to church from then on. He loved the pastor and members of the church. When ever he would go to the hospital the pastor come everyday without fail and the members would also. He enjoyed their visits very much. The best story I have to tell you tho is about his electric wheel chair. The doctor told Ralph on saturday if he wanted on sunday he could leave the hospital and go to church. So I went early to load his chair, when I got there the chair wouldn't run, So in a hurry to make it on time I loaded him with a hospital chair and unloaded him with the pastors chair at the church. I told Ralph on the way back to the hospital, Your chair will work when we get back, The devil didn't want you to go to church.Well when we got back the chair ran fine and is still running. So the Moral of the story is, there is a DEVIL, Watch out for him. |
