| Dedication To Our People To Our People Written by Anegawaya You came to our lands, And pushed us out, And grouped us into bands, Which makes our People shout, We always live in Peace, And you brought war, And we would try to fight back, But you took away what we were fighting for, You took our children, And trained them to live like you, You took our children, And killed them with fire so true, Then you lied about what you have done, Which makes our soul cry, But you're people believed you, When you told them that we were savages, And they believed your lies, You said that we believed in many gods, But we only believe in one, So you took our faith away from us, And told us that we were done, You put us on reservations, And kept us away from the world, They were more like prison camps, In which we were damned, We want to live like we used to, Where we were free, But to you that's not right, But you're too blind to see, You wanted us to die, And you made sure that a lof of us did, By breeding us out among yourselves, The Creator didn't want that he forbid, You made us walk on a long narrow rode, The Trail of Tears is what it's called, And a lot of our People and children died, But again to your people you have lied, You massacred us, and our children, And you keep it to yourselves, Someday the truth will come out, And you will pay for what you've done, It will come back to you, For this was our land, You stole it from us, Under your command, So this poem is to My People, For the ones that have suffered so, We've come along way, And survived so far in this world today. |
