So Loch Ness is pretty cool.  So are the Urquhart Castle ruins right on the loch.  Didn't see the monster, though.  I tried.
It was surprisingly nice weather (cold, though), considering it had snowed almost all the way up there on the bus.  When I finished wandering around the ruins and started walking towards the village at the foot of the mountain to catch the bus to Inverness, it snowed for about five minutes, then it was sunny again, then it snowed for five minutes, then....
The scenery was beautiful here, except for the fact that the entire hillside in front of the castle was under construction.  They were building a visitor's center and giftshops and such.  Horrible eyesore.  I managed to keep it out of the pictures.  Love how green the grass was.  Scanning doesn't do it justice.
