I love the English college system. They're constantly giving us random weeks off.
I spent my reading week, the first week in November, running around Scotland. I took the train up to Edinburgh, where I crashed on Em's floor for a couple days. Em is my best friend from Tulane (she and Dawn are going to be my maids/matrons of honor if I ever manage to get married) and she's doing a junior year abroad at University of Edinburgh. Chris, Jen, and Sarah all ended up in Edinburgh, too, at different times during the week. I met up with Jen and Chris a couple times and we went to Edinburgh Castle (most of these pictures). The last few pictures are from Hollyrude Hill and Arthur's Seat, which I climbed about halfway up at sunset. |
