These are the pieces that I am most proud of from my Sophomore year at school.  As you can see, three of the four pieces are from my Media class.  I would like to personally thank Mr. Don Brandes for these wonderful successes.  It was due to his enthusiasm and wonderful teaching approach that I was able to produce these pieces as successfully as I did.  He was a great help to me - as he was to a large majority of us.  I was still struggling through school at this point and seriously considering giving up on the entire deal when his class came along.  I highly doubt that I would still be attending school right now if it wasn't in great part due to Mr. Brandes.  Thanks Mr. B.

I would also like to make a comment about the fourth piece from my Illustration I class.  This piece came to its current being through gritted teeth.  I will not name names, but I was at odds with the instructor I had for this class and was flailing miserably.  I was not getting anywhere artistically and the instructor, even after several pleas for help, was useless to me.  After we had a "confrontation" I went off on my own for this final project of the year without any of his help.  Needless to say, it came out great.  So, I'd like to say that although I did not gain anything from his "instruction" the entire year, I did gain a little of myself.  It was out of my determination to get something out of the year that this piece was born.  So, in a sense, I have that instructor to thank also.  Hmmm... that's pretty sad.
