Hello!
How nice of you to stop by and meet my family. I'll try not
to brag too much as I describe them.
I
have four Angels at home. One is size Extra Large (Hubby), and
the other three are divided in regular, medium and small. My
Angels are sort of different... To start off, they are three
male (I'm counting Hubby in *smile*) angels and one female.
Mr.
Extra Large Angel attends by the name of Detto Costa, and is
the most tender, loving and caring person I could ever find on
Earth. He is one of a kind ladies. It might sound unreal, but
I still have a "crush" on that particular Angel
(*smile*). When he's not working his favorite hobby is
joinery. He's very good at it too!!
He is
an extremely talented TV Director for the fourth major TV
Broadcasting Company in the world, called TV GLOBO. He has won
three Awards as best TV Director of the Year! Three in a row!
I'm so proud of him... He's my Champion Angel! Below is a
picture of us when he received his third award.
Here is
the picture of my husband Detto and myself. He had received his
third Award in a row for best TV Director Of the Year!!
Now
to the other two male Angels. The oldest one is a very chubby
Angel and attends by the name of Phillip. He was born on the
20th of June of 1989. Oh! Time is going so fast! It seems like
it was only yesterday I held him in my arms for the first
time! That was one very special day in my life. I had lost
three babies before and I was in total and absolute state of
panic for Phillip's pregnancy! I was so fragile inside that no
matter what the doctors would say, I just couldn't relax. Just
to think of a slight possibility of going through all of that
suffering again would make me start shaking and crying for
nothing. Rough times I might say. But, at 6:00 PM (exact time:
6:00:00 PM) I heard my chubby Angel cry and since I had him at
St. Joseph's Hospital the "Ave Maria" was playing
for the 6 PM mass. If that was how God wanted me to understand
not to fear anymore, HE did it in the most powerful of the
ways!!
That is one of the reasons while browsing through my site you
might find some backgrounds of Mother Mary and Jesus and some
quotes from the Bible. I was blessed that moment: I had become
a MOTHER!! My chubby Angel was born one month before he
should, but amaze yourself ladies: his weight was 8 pounds and
a half!!! The doctors were stunned!! The nurses at the
hospital were fighting between them to see who's turn it was
to change his clothes. In fact, two started a small discussion
and I had to almost divide the poor child in half: one changed
in the morning the other in the afternoon!
Until
today, my Angel Phillip is the tallest one in his class at
school, the biggest 11 years old child I have ever laid my
eyes on, and the hungriest child on Earth! If you are thinking
of any disease far as Diabetes, due to his weight when he was
born, need no fear. I have done several exams on the him. My
husband has Diabetes, but Phillip only has a big mouth! He
opens it when he wakes up and closes it when he goes to
sleep!!!
He is very smart for his age and I'm going to take the chance
to say he's wise also. A couple of years back his teacher
called me for an interview at school. At first I thought that
was very strange because Phillip was always an excellent
student. When I got there she asked me if I was teaching
anything extra like algebra and computer work to him at home.
I must have had the most stupid look on my face, because she
started laughing. I asked her what was going on and she was
very brief: "I was giving Math class and chose Phillip to
say the numbers for me and his friends, and he answered:
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9. A little friend stood up and told
Phillip: "How can you be so stupid? Don't you know that 0
isn't nothing?" I was about to interfere and call my
other student's attention but Phillip was much faster than me.
He replied: "You shouldn't call nobody stupid. That's not
nice. The numbers are as said. Try putting a 0 after any
number and see if you have nothing. Now your education that
one is nothing!" I was in shock! I asked her: "And
then?" She said: "Well, as you can see I had nothing
to add. What could I say? Here at school we start teaching
them the numbers by 1,2,3 and so far. Nevertheless, your son
is completely right about the numbers and the level of
education of his little friend as well. I changed the subject
and went on with the class." she ended giggling.
That's my chubby Angel. Me and his father are still picking on
each other to see who he took after. (*smiles*) Below you can

My
Angel size medium attends by the name of William and was born
on April 22nd of 1991. That was also a very special day in my
life. After I had Phillip, I had another miscarriage. I have
to admit that I am a persistent person. Either I believe that
or I'll just have to admit I'm crazy. That adds up to four
painful experiences. William was born at 8:04 PM, and like his
brother a month before he was supposed to. (What is this with
these kids? They are in such a hurry! *smiles*). His weight
was 7 pounds and a half. Pretty good too huh? The doctor's
thought also.
My medium size Angel has a totally different personality than
my chubby one. He likes to whine. So we nicknamed him as
"whiny". My whiny Angel is very honey like. He loves
to be hugged, squeezed, and kissed. Phillip is just the other
way around. He isn't very fond of people grabbing him and
spreading sloppy kisses all over his face. (*smiles*)
Another
characteristic of my whiny Angel is that he hasn't learned how
to loose yet. Have any of you moms seen a kid with tears
rolling down his cheek because he can't win a video game? And
that's when he is playing alone with the machine, because if
his brother doesn't let him win when they play together then
its show time for whiny Angel!
William
is very funny also. He loves to do imitations of actors and
personalities from TV. Sometimes I have to turn around so he
won't see me laughing so much, because if he does, that act
will be a never ending one. LOL!! He's what you can call a
"clown". If I were to choose what he loves to do
most the answer would have to be: play soccer. The kid is a
fanatic soccer enthusiastic!
Almost every day I find a little "I love you" note
hidden somewhere around my desk. Most of the notes have
"my picture" on it. I know I am no Miss America, but
never thought I was so horrible! My hair is always looking
like something the cat dragged in. (*giggles*)
That's my whiny Angel: loving, caring, bad looser, with a
temper, and a tendency to be a comedian. Below you can see a

Now
let's talk about a dream come true. My last and third Angel
came in size small, with beautiful curly hair and rosy cheeks,
and the icing of this wonderful cake, that I proudly call My
Family, attends by the name of Anna Karissa.

Karissa was born 2 months and three days before she should
have (I think maybe that's my style. *smile*), on May 10th of
1995 at 8:04 PM, just one day before her Dad's birthday!!
Nevertheless, she did not need any special treatment. Her
lungs were not sufficiently mature for birth but she could
care less. When she was hungry she would scream so loud I was
afraid what my neighbors would think of me. Now that I am
thinking of it she did have quite an appetite!!!
She
was born with exact 6 pounds!! My doctor said: "Look, I
give up OK? What's your secret? How come your babies are so
premature and so healthy and heavy?" Until today I'm
thinking of a good answer but did not find one. It can only be
the help from "GOD". Several doctors came and
examined my baby girl, they did so many blood tests on her
that I was heartbroken. On the second day after she was born I
gave the whole deal a stop. I said to every single person that
was in charge of my room and was part of my doctor's crew:
"NO! Nobody is touching my child anymore. You all are
trying to find something somewhere. Well, all the tests done
came out perfect and that is it. Enough! My baby is staying
where she belongs: by her mother, which happens to be
ME!" After getting off my soap box, (you can do anything
to me, but don't ever have the foolish idea of messing around
with my children. I know all of the mommies reading this will
agree with me on that particular issue.) I could enjoy being
with my baby.
My
Angel size small is the most rotten spoiled thing on Earth and
I just love it!!! She is worst than the boys together. Believe
me! She turns the whole house upside down in seconds! It's
amazing!

Karissa is very "coquettish", I might say. She
chooses her own clothes, and matches her tennis with her bows,
that match with the socks, and so far. I have to admit that
both of us, her Dad and I, spoil her rotten. But she's my
dream come true!! That doesn't mean that I love less my chubby
Angel and my whiny Angel!!!! But with my daughter everything
is different. I was used to buying shorts and soccer uniforms
and cars and trucks. Now I am in an entirely different world.
I'm in Barbie's section, laces, bows, ribbons, barrettes,
ponytails, wow! What a difference! Since my Angel size small
is so spoiled we nicknamed her "Miss Spoily". (*Big
smile*).
Last,
but not least, she's got such a temper that I feel sorry
already for her husband! LOL! She loves all kinds of animals,
enjoys watching cartoons on her video, playing with her dolls,
and her pots & pans, and running through the house like a
hurricane! That's my spoily Angel. Below you can see a picture

As
you all can see I am a very proud mom and wife. I started out
as a ballet dancer, but, for a number of reasons, I quit. Here
in Brazil there is no possible way of surviving as a
ballerina. The type of people that we are obliged to deal with
is something that I can call sickening. Every thing has
degenerated.
After getting married and becoming a mother my life changed in
180 degrees. My priorities were totally different and my
approach to life as well. Becoming a mother made me aware of
the many difficulties the world is going through as far as
social matters, educating and rearing children. Life is very
hard. Once we choose to give birth we have to assume total
responsibility on these kid's education, not only with focus
on acknowledge but giving them a sense of pride and morality
also. In my point of view, the kids today have to learn how to
respect others, including themselves, and need to learn right
from wrong. That's were everything starts: at home. What I
always have in mind when educating my children is: "If
you are going to do anything do it right and do it
straight". Dignity is very important in one's
personality. Those are the basics concepts I have as being a
mother. Motherhood is about teaching and guiding but is about
learning with our children as well. I have learned a lot. But,
there is so much more to learn, to discover, to be revealed. I
just pray that I'm on the right track.
