Reunions Born into a world of legends, From a country cold and dark, With people filled with song, And laughter in their hearts, Across bodies of water they sail, A new country, Wild and free, But filled with many prejudices, As soon they were to see, They change their name, They hide their faith, They worship behind closed doors, Secretly using the precious gifts, For which they were blessedly born, From generation to generation, The dream is taught, But not all of us had the courage, And for some our gifts we fought, Never to late to start again, The feelings rush in fast, Wonderful reunions, Of spirits from the past. copyright C.Wallace |
