Summary: Two months before he's scheduled to return,
Triple H has Vince, Shane and Stephanie willing to do
ANYTHING to be on their side. The question is, how
much is too much???? (not that great of a summary)
Author's Notes: Well, ever since Steph became owner of
ECW, I've been curious about whether Hunter would go
with his wife, or where he's had the most success.
This is my humorous interpretation of what might
happen, though I doubt all (if any) of it will.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mr. Helmsley, your wife is on line one, and your
father-in-law is on line two." Amanda, his physical
therapist, told him.
"Thanks, Mandy. I'll talk to my wife first." He said,
taking the phone. "Hi, honey.....I'm doing okay,
almost 100%.....when are you coming home for a
visit?....not for another week? why?....Yes, I know
that ever since the Rock came back it's been harder
for you and Shane......I told you earlier, Steph, I
don't know which side I'm going to take.....Of course
I love you, it's just that I've had so much success in
the WWF and so little in WCW...Look, I have someone
else on the other line AND I am in the middle of my
therapy......Yeah, I'll talk to you later.....Bye
sweetie." Hunter said, hanging up on his wife.
"Are you sure you want to deal with your
father-in-law? I can tell him we're in the middle of
weightlifting, which we are supposed to be doing."
Mandy said, setting up the weights.
"If I don't talk to him now, he'll just bother me
later." He said, pressing the second line.
"Hi Vince...I'm doing fine....My leg may be better
quicker than two months, if I keep pushing
myself.....Yes, I've been watching....I've seen the
horrible things your children have done....May I
remind you that she is my wife...I still haven't
decided yet, Vince....I know how much you've done for
me and I am grateful....Look, I'm in the middle of my
therapy, I'll talk to you later, Vince....Bye."
"You okay? You look a little tense." Mandy said,
walking over to her patient.
"You'd be tense too if you had to listen to that shit
from these people. Man, I don't know what I'm gonna
do."
"Tell you what. How about we skip the weights for now,
I give you a massage, and tell you a way that you can
feel much better about this situation?"
"Fine with me."
"Good, now, lay down on your stomach." She said. When
he had done so, she started rubbing his shoulders,
neck, and back.
"That feels so good, Mandy. Now, what is this plan of
yours to get me to like this situation I'm in?"
"Well," She began, rubbing his lower back, "You said
that Shane and Steph want you on the Alliance and
Vince wants you to stay in the WWF, right?" He nodded
his head, "I bet they'd do anything to have you on
their side, right?" Again, he nodded "So, I think it's
time you cash in on this little arrangement, and get
them to do your bidding. Whatever you want, you could
have at the snap of your fingers, as long as you seem
interested in their side."
"I see where you're going with this. You are a very
intelligent woman, Mandy. I think it's time I cash in
on the weaknesses of my family. Question is, how do I
start?"
"If you're willing to listen," Mandy said, running her
fingers through his golden mane, "I think I know how
we can start things off."
Hunter got up, and pulled Mandy right next to him.
"I'm listening."
"Well, how about we...."
Part 3...
"Hello, Mr. McMahon. I'm Amanda Fay, Mr. Helmsley's
physical therapist. He's in the living room waiting
for you." Mandy said, opening the door for Vince.
"Thank you, Ms. Fay." He said, walking into the living
room where Hunter was relaxing. "Hunter, how are you
feeling?"
"Pretty good, Vince. Amanda has been a real help. I
may be back sooner than expected." Hunter said,
shaking his hand.
"That's great to hear. I'm sure Ms. Fay puts you
through a rigorous exercise program." Vince said,
glancing at her.
"You have no idea how much I work out that leg of his.
He's getting back to his old self, probably even
better." Mandy said, right before the doorbell rang.
"Excuse me for a minute."
As Amanda went to answer the door, Vince started
reminding Hunter of all the bad things that Steph and
Shane had done to him, including siding with Austin
after he had insulted Hunter. Just as he was telling
him about how he'd make Hunter's comeback destroy the
Alliance, Amanda re-entered the room.
"The new treadmill is here. I had the guys put it in
the gym." Mandy said, taking a seat.
"New treadmill?" Vince asked, looking over at him.
"Oh yeah, Shane and Stephanie got it as a gift for me.
It's really odd, my own wife buying me these gifts."
to be continued...
"That is a bit odd. But, you know something, I never
did get you and Stephanie a gift for the house. Is
there anything you need, Hunter?"
"Well, Steph and I basically have everything you could
need for a house, but, personally, Amanda needs to run
errands, and she doesn't have a decent car. I mean,
that Station Wagon out there is gonna break down soon,
and then I'll have no one here to help me out. So,
could you buy her a new Camaro?? It'd really be a help
to me. May even help me decide who really needs me on
their side more." Hunter said, smiling over at Vince.
"A new Camaro? Sure, anything for my son-in-law. Got a
certain color in mind?"
"Amanda, it's your call." Hunter said, looking over at
her. "Well, I don't really need a new car, but, if you
really want to get me one, I do love silver. Or dark
green." Mandy said, looking over at Vince.
"An excellent choice, Ms. Fay. I'll have someone send
it over in two days. Is it okay if you only get it on
Friday?"
"That'd be great, Mr. McMahon. I really appreciate
it."
"Anything for my son-in-law. Now, if you excuse me, I
have to get to a meeting. I'll be in touch, Hunter."
Vince said, shaking his hand.
"I'll be waiting. Have a nice day, Mr. McMahon." Paul
said, walking him out.
When he got back into the living room, Mandy was
glaring at him.
"What's wrong, Mands? I thought you'd like the new
car?" Paul said, walking over to her.
"I thought I told you to start out small. Going from a
treadmill to a car is a BIG move. What are we gonna do
when Shane and Steph find out that he got me a car?"
Mandy said, looking up at him.
"Wait for them to open their wallets even more and buy
many things. Come on, it's true. That car you drive is
in terrible condition. I thought you could use a new
one." Hunter said, smiling at her.
"I appreciate the car, but, I just don't feel right."
She said, looking at him.
"Come on, it's Vince's money. And remember, it's to
help me get back at them." Hunter said, giving her
puppy dog eyes.
"Well, if it's helping you out than okay. Now, I think
I know what we can do next to get back at Shane and
Steph......"
Part 4
That Friday, just as Hunter was about to start his
weightlifting, the phone rang. Mandy picked it up
while Hunter got ready to deal with his relatives.
"Hello...Oh, hello Mr. McMahon....Okay, Shane...Yes,
he is, but can you make this quick? He really needs to
work out his leg. Here he is." Mandy said, handing
Hunter the phone.
"Hi Shane.....I'm fine.....Yes, the treadmill's
great...Hold on, there's someone at the door." Hunter
said, going to the door with Mandy.
"Hunter, my new car's here! And Mr. McMahon got me the silver one!!!! It's beautiful!!!" Mandy said, close
enough to the phone so that Shane would hear.
"Sorry about that, Shane.....Oh, your father saw that
her car was old and starting to fall apart, so he
offered to buy her a new one.....It's a 2001
Camaro....Shane, you don't need to get me anything,
really....Well, the house could use a game
room.....With a pool table, a few video games, an air
hockey table.....You are too kind to pay for all
that....Are you sure you want to buy it??...Okay,
thanks.....Heyman's going to come visit me on
Wednesday???...That's fine, I guess...I'll talk to you
later....Bye, Shane." Hunter said, laughing after he
hung up the phone.
"What's so funny?" Mandy said, coming back into the
house after admiring her new car.
"This is too easy. I'm getting a game room from the
Alliance." Hunter said, walking over to her.
"Well, that's nice. But personally, I think you could
use a hot tub, and a Rolex or two." Mandy said, going
back into the gym to get him started on his weights.
"I agree. Maybe I'll get a call from Vince in a little
while and I'll mention that to him." Hunter said,
smiling, as he went to work.
When he finished up with his weights, he laid down so
Mandy could check on his leg.
"It's looking very good, Hunter. You may be able to
make it back in a month, instead of the two we were
originally planning on." Mandy said, lightly tracing
the scar from surgery. "You're getting better, Hunter.
Better than you were before you were injured."
"And I have you to thank for it." He said, getting up
and giving her a hug. "You've been an incredible help
over these last four months, putting up with me is not
easy, I know."
Just as she was about to respond, the phone rang.
"Hello.....Hi, Mr. McMahon......Thank you for the car,
it is beautiful.....Yes, he's right here....Hold on."
Mandy said, handing him the phone.
"Hi, Vince....I'm doing fine.....Yes, the car is
nice...Well, actually, Shane's getting me a new game
room.....I don't know why, really, he just offered to
get it......Vince, you don't need to get me
anything....If you really want to get me something, I
could use a new hot tub, and maybe a Rolex or
two....Well, Amanda could use one, but, if you only
want to get me one...Thanks, Vince....You're sending
JR over here Thursday....Okay, I'll see him
than....Bye, Vince." Hunter said, hanging up.
"Well, the good news is I'm getting everything I want
right now. The bad news, I have to deal with a visit
from Heyman on Wednesday and JR on Thursday. What the hell am I going to say to them??" Hunter said, sitting
down and started flipping through the channels.
"Don't worry, Hunt. We'll think of something. All you
have to do is make sure you seem interested in their
plans for you. Trust me, by the time we're through
with them, they won't know what hit them." Mandy said,
taking a seat next to him. "I hope you're right, Mands. I just don't know what to
do to really get them back."
"Well, why don't we talk Vince into hiring some old
friends of yours????"
"You mean-"
"I mean, we really take these guys for all they're
worth, and also bring back some people who never
should've left." Mandy said.
"I love the way your mind works, you know that?" Paul
said, wrapping an arm around her as they settled for
watching My Best Friend's Wedding.
