Wishing Ornaments for Yule

Decorate an evergreen tree with your family's wishes.  You will need styrofoam balls and pipe cleaners from an arts and crafts store.  Secure the pipe cleaner in the styrofoam. 

Have each family member write on a piece of paper their wish and this following prayer:

Blessed God of Yule

please bless this wish each night

with your special love

and returning light.

Place the piece of paper with the wish on it against the side of the styrofoam ball.  Then wrap both up with wrapping paper or tissue paper used in gift bags.  Tie a red ribbon around the top of the ball to secure it.  Hang a small piece of Holly on the ribbon for luck.  Curl the loose ends with scissors to make it look pretty.  

You can personalize your ornaments by taping or gluing pictures of your children to the outside of the ornaments.  If you make one for you and your spouse or significant other, use mistletoe instead of Holly, so your love will stay strong.

As you hang your wishes on your tree, concentrate on having them manifest after Yule and in the coming year.   The power of this spell comes from the love within your heart as well as the magick of this sabbat.  

When you take your tree down, make sure to keep the ornaments some place safe with a branch of your tree (if it's real) until your wishes come true. 

Use the ornaments next year for new wishes and bury the old ones outside.
