Parallel Dimensions

The topic of Parallel Dimensions has got me thinking ever since I read an article posted on my site written by Dave Oester, Ph.D.   In his article, he states, "Scientists have now confirmed the existence of at least eleven other dimensions." 

I'm not saying every overexposed photograph is actually another dimension showing up on film.  Most are probably just bad film or damage caused during developing.  However, I do believe there is so much more in this universe than what meets the eye or what can be explained scientifically, and that we only understand and live in a tiny portion of it. 

In Oester's article, he writes, "...other dimensions may overlap into our dimension much the same way as the spirit dimension will overlap into this dimension at peak geomagnetic conditions."  This overlapping may create some sort of a doorway where these different dimensions meet or where the veil between them remains thin.  Maybe, the doorway is then opened and can be crossed for a fleeting moment or on a long term basis. 

As in the case of the Bermuda Triangle, the overlapping seems to be long term.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is a triangular shaped area off the Southeastern Coast of Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda, where hundreds of disappearances of ships and aircrafts have been reported.  In this area, compasses point to true North instead of magnetic North.  The Bermuda Triangle is one of only two places on Earth where this happens, the other being the Devil's Sea, located off the east coast of Japan, also known for many disappearances.

Believers in the Triangle phenomenon insist this environmental factor would not cause ships and aircrafts to go astray.  Seaworthy captains and crew would know enough to compensate for the variation in advance.  On the other hand, skeptics insist this environmental factor causes navigational failure and thus ships and aircrafts are easily lost at sea. 

I'm not trying to dispute either theory.  Frankly, I don't know anything about navigation or sailing a ship.  I'm also not overlooking the fact that the Bermuda Triangle holds many natural dangers, such as violent seaquakes, white squalls and hungry sharks, for those passing through its waters.  

Although many of the mysteries have been solved today with modern technology, the fact remains that this area is different than others.  Maybe, this environmental difference, which causes compass variations, is the result of a peak geomagnetic condition.  Maybe, this condition is just enough to allow dimensions to overlap, as Oester claims, for centuries, maybe even to this day, maybe even forever. 

Have you ever seen the movie, The Lost Voyage?  If you haven't, I recommend watching it.  The movie is fiction, but it is still both interesting and entertaining.

Dreams & Out of Body Experiences

On that note, maybe doorways open briefly to other dimensions when someone astral travels? Most people believe near death experiences prove that there is life after death, but what if one doesn't have to die to see another side?  Maybe all out of body experiences provide the right condition for a fleeting overlap of more than one dimension.

Without the physical self to weigh us down, the astral self is free to cross barriers we are otherwise unable to, similar to the spirit leaving the body after death.  For a fleeting moment, it would seem possible to explore another plane of existence and remember it only as a dream.  The falling feeling could be the passing from one dimension to another.

Ingo Swann once claimed to have traveled to Mercury and back during an out of body experience.  The scientific information he gained from his experience was unknown at the time but later confirmed. 

Maybe, the experience was more than a trip to Mercury, but rather to a dimension when this information was already documented and readily obtained.

Shadow People

Out of body experiences lead me to discuss Shadow People, as one phenomenon may be the cause of the other. 

According to an article on the internet,"Those who are experiencing and studying the shadow people phenomenon say that these entities almost always used to be seen out of the corner of the eye and very briefly. But more and more, people are beginning to see them straight on and for longer periods of time. Some experiencers testify that they have even seen eyes, usually red, on these shadow beings."

Shadow people encounters are fairly common and the phenomenon has gained more attention in recent years.  These entities are often mistaken for ghosts, but ghosts are more likely to be whitish and/or have a more defined human form.  

There are many theories circulating around the paranormal community regarding the shadow people.  Popular ideas include; people having out of body experiences, whose etheric selves appear only as shadows, aliens visiting from another world, time travelers or entities of a demonic nature.  The most scientific one is they are simply the imagination playing tricks on the individual or something in the eye obstructing one's vision. 

A theory that I find particularly interesting, however, proposes the idea that Shadow Peoople are actually inhabitants of another dimension, who have learned to "intrude on our own." When they visit, they are unable to come through as anything more than a shadow. 

Keeping this in mind, shadow people got me further thinking about the movie called the Mothman Prophecies.

Mothman Prophecies

  This movie was based on a true story surrounding the collapse of the Silver Bridge on the Ohio River near Point Pleasant in West Virginia back in 1967. 

Before this trajedy ocurred, many of the 46 victims who perished on the bridge reported sightings of a mothman like creature with red glowing eyes.  Maybe the mothman sightings were actually shadow people from another dimension trying to warn them of their horrible fate.   Maybe these entities somehow sensed the build up of vibrations before the catastrophe, like the build up of energy before lightning strikes. 

At the time of their sightings, cars stalled and telephones and t.v. sets went haywire.  Again, maybe the build up of energy created a peak geomagnetic condition, which allowed mothman or shadow people to be seen.  The wing-like motion could have been them coming through. 

Conclusion

I have no proof to offer for any of this article's contents.  They are only ideas that I have been tossing around from other articles and movies regarding parallel dimensions.  I've been strongly considering that many types of phenomenon might in fact be connected in some way.  Maybe all of them are the result of different dimensions overlapping with our own.   

I'm not trying to tell you that you should believe in this or not.  I am not a scientist or even remotely knowledgable on the subject.  I can verify one fact only - the world is a magical place.  We should always keep an open mind, so we can experience its magic to the fullest.

As the old saying goes, "Anything is possible."
