by Lady of the Shadows
May the Goddess bless the wise owl who watches the world from a branch on an old, Oak tree.
May she fill the babbling brook in the forest where a deer and her fawn find a drink on a hot, Summer day.
May she fly with the ladybug who eats the aphids attacking a defenseless leaf.
May she tenderly open flower blossoms when they are ready to greet the morning sun.
May she paint each one with vibrant color and decorate the garden to please the fae who live there.
May she slither with the garter snake along the rich, dark soil, turning it as they go.
May she coax the butterfly from its cocoon and unfold its delicate wings.
May she help the bee pollinate the flowers and spread beauty like a magic wand waving over the land.
May she swim with the swan and his mate, so they never part from each other's side.
May she bring laughter to the children playing on the beach.
May she embrace the shore with gentle, soothing waves.
May she sing with the crickets beneath dancing stars.
May she shine in the sky, like a guiding light,
and watch over all her children
- both day and night.
