The Goddess
by Lady of the Shadows
She is gentle rain drops falling with a summer breeze.
She is the rainbow after a shower on a hot afternoon.
She is the ladybug watching over a defenseless plant.
She is the butterfly who flutters back and forth from each new bloom.
She is the bumble bee pollinating the flowers.
She is the cat who keeps the rodents at bay.
She is the dog, a faithful, loving companion.
She is the bird flying with the clouds above.
She is the worm who turns the soil and keeps it rich.
She is the song of the whale calling his mate.
She is the apple tree, which gives us fruit to eat.
She is the laughter of the children in the yard.
She is the love in a mother's goodnight kiss.
She is the familar face of a friend who is always there.
She is the lullaby of the cricket beneath the stars.
She is the Moon lighting the way through the darkness.
She is you; she is me.
She is the magick in us all.
