Spell for Sick/Injured Trees

by Lady of the Shadows

Place one green candle in a cauldron or consecrated pot full of soil.  Green is good for Mother Earth, physical healing and plant/tree magick, (amongst many other things).

Gather some leaves and branches of the sick or injured tree, plant or bush.  Place them around the candle's base or simply put a picture of the tree underneath.

Light the candle.

You may want to burn some Patchouli, magnolia, or benzoin as an offering to Mother Earth.

Say this prayer aloud or to yourself (whichever makes you feel more comfortable).

Mother Earth

please hear my cry.

Save this tree

before it dies.

With this candle

burning bright

Bathe it in

your love and light.

May your soil's

gentle touch

ease the wheel's

hurried rush.

Heal its roots,

its trunk, its leaves.

Please make it whole.

Please heal this tree

Repeat the prayer several times while concentrating on Mother Earth healing the tree.  Picture her healing the roots, the trunk, the branches and the leaves.  Focus all your energy on a strong, healthy tree:

If you are doing a general healing, perform this spell when the Moon is waxing,   You can also perform this spell during a Full Moon for extra energy, or when the Moon is waning,to banish an illness.  Change the words of the prayer to suit your needs and Moon phases.

Let the candle burn out on its own.  Then bury any leftover wax along with the leaves and branches outside, so Mother Nature can take care of it.

Please note if you do suspect a disease, be careful not to bury it near other trees. Some diseases are easily spread, e.g. certain molds on plants.

This spell can be done without a candle.  Stand outside near the sick tree, ground yourself, place your hand on the trunk and speak the prayer aloud, drawing on Mother Nature's healing energy.
