I wrote this poem for my best friend after she lost her baby two years ago.
BRIGHT ANGEL

With wings of white
and heart of gold
you watch over me
like the bible foretold.
I need you here
like a star sparkling bright
to be my light
through the dark of night
I can't see you,
but I know you're there.
I can feel your eyes on me,
and I sense you care.
Promise me that you'll
never stray far.
Stay beside me
and remind me
of God's kingdom
beyond the stars.
I'd never felt
joy like that you bring;
the warmth of your soul
makes my heart sing.
And I just want you to know,
want you to see,
how much
you mean to me.
