Receiving gifts is probably the best part in most occasions. Be it your birthday, christmas, new year, anniversary and so on. But you can make giving gifts as exciting and fun as receiving them. if you have the time and a bit of patience, you could create gift masterpieces that i'm sure would be appreciated by their recepients. here are a few ideas from your beloved deity, straight from Reikai (can we see some sort of spirit influences here? *shrugs* *all i know is, her CREATIVE SPIRIT may be in action*) PERSONALIZED GIFT TAGS. One way to personalize your gifts is to use an original gift tag. Use a special paper ( i have tons of it!), decorative edged scissors if you want and a stamp that comes in many colors and designs. It can be a name stamp, a graphic one or a combination of both. You can buy them on craft stores and shops specializng on stamping supplies ( for FILIPINO readers, I found one at the greenbelt.) WORKING WITH TISSUES. They looked always lovely do they? They're easy to use, too. All you need for a conventional style is a couple of tissue wrappers, ribbons (thin ones are better) and the gift tag. |

What color to choose? Basically, you pick out one style of your choice. If it is printed, the second tissue should be plain and of the color of the print of the first tissue. example, if you have a tissue with blue flower print on a white background, pick out a plain blue tissue as your second tissue (it could be of any shade -- be it lighter or darker blue). This is done to highten the print on the first wrapper. The picture on the right is another example. Here you have three choices for the second wrapper. Wrap the gift box with the plain tissue first before rewrapping it with the printed one. Use slinky ribbons of the same shade and attach the tag on it. * If you don't like, the SAME SHADES look. You can change the plain wrapper with a color that matches well with the color of the print. My suggestions would be the following: pink and blue (*giggles* that's my deity color!); pink and purple; blue and pale green; pink and green; red and pale orange (*ooh fiery!*), white and any light colors; etc. |

MINIATURES.
One suggestion for small gifts, except jewelry is to look for the best fitting box as possible. Then instead of crumpled paper, place metallic wrapped candies or thin ribbons around it. CLOTHES. One way to make do of clothes and fabrics is to roll it carefully and place them in a can. Taller ones and circular biscuit tin cans are the best. And make sure they're throughly cleaned! USE FLOWERS. To accent the gift wrap, without depending so much to the conventional ribbons, use fresh or plastic flowers. Try daisies, sunflowers, lilies and orchids. Make sure the fresh ones are placed just before you hand in the gift. ON METALLIC WRAPPERS. Try using the back side. you'll notice that they have prints too. the look appears like a two toned silver version of the front. Much simpler but a lot more elegant. FAST AND EASY.   If you don't have much time for wrapping, you could use special paper bags that you can buy on bookstores.   If you hate fancy ribbons, use colored strings and paper-made chords. They're pretty stylish. | 14th |
