The Virus
Written by Yobe452

Zap, bang, BOOM!! the Mainframe walls were literally crumbling to pieces. You could hear screams in the background of the little round zeros and squared bionomes running for their lives.

Farther in Mainframe, in the center to be exact, the principal office was starting to give way from under them. Dot, owner of almost all of Mainframe, was running frantically around the control room yelling orders while Bob, guardian of Mainframe, was running after her trying to calm her down.

"Dot, wait, stop!," Bob yelled stopping to catch his breath.

"Bob, I have a big war on my hands and I haven't got much time. Mainframe is falling apart, and if I don't stop it, it will be all my fault," she sighed.

"Now Dot," Bob said, "Matrix, Frisket, and AndrAIa are out there trying to fight the virus and I'm sure everything is under control," he said brushing her dark hair away so he could see her beautiful purple eyes. Dot smiled. "I know Bob, I know."

"Matrix, look out!!," AndrAIa yelled as a deletion gun shot went straight for him. Frisket dove to push him out of the way just in time. They both landed behind a pile of brown boxes. AndrAIa quickly ran over to see if they were ok.

"Are you ok, boy?" AndrAIa asked, patting Frisket on the head. Frisket just stuck his long tongue out and wagged his big red tail.

"Where's Matrix?" she said with a worried look on her face. Matrix sat up with a box on top of his head. She then laughed and said, "Ohh, Enzo."

He quickly through the box off his head and smiled in an embarrassed way, making his green cheeks turn red. I am so stupid!, he thought. Mi He watched AndrAIa walk away. Then he started to hit his head over and over on the dilapidated building next to him.

"Ouch, I'll never do that again, even if I do, do something stupid," he muttered.

"Enzo, come on, the virus is moving toward the principal office!!," AndrAIa yelled.

"We've got to contact Dot and Bob NOW!!," Enzo said in a determined way. He pulled off from the side of his pant leg, a small, blue, guardian key tool that Bob had given to him.

"Glitch, contact Dot," Matrix said. A small screen called a vid-window, popped up and Dot's worried face appeared on it.

"Dot, where's Bob, we need him too," Matrix said.

Dot walked off screen and when she walked back in view. Bob was with her smiling in a clever way as if he had a plan, but really he was thinking of Dot in a tight bathing suit.

"What's up?" Bob said dazed and still concentrating on Dot. Dot hit him in the back of his head and he snapped back into reality.

"Wake up!," she whispered in his ear.

"Huh, ohh." Bob said and then he made a serious face. "How can we help you?" he said.

"The virus is heading toward the principal..."

BOOOOM!!! the metal doors busted open and this tall, silver-like woman walked through the big hole in the door. Bob's jaw dropped to the floor.

"Mom?!" He questioned. She turned to him and smiled. Her eyes glowed and her fangs grew larger.

"Young Bobby, how are you?" she asked tossing her long, shiny, silver hair off her shoulders. Everyone in the room couldn't help but laugh at Bob's real name.

"Ohh," Bob sighed. Of all the other systems, why did she have to come here.

"Have you reconsidered on quitting that stupid guardian job and working with your mother?" she asked, clinking her long fingernails together.

"No, I love being a Guardian and I love being here in Mainframe. I am old enough to take care of myself so let me live it in piece," he said clenching one eye closed hoping she wouldn't do something terrible.

"Fine then," she said, making a mean face, "Say bye, bye to your precious car!" she yelled. Everyone gasped.

"NOOOOOO!!!" Bob hollered. But it was too late, his mom had disappeared and Bob dropped to his knees. Dot ran over to comfort him.

"Ohh Bob, I'm soo sorry," she said.

"I loved that car, that car was, was, was... Alphanumeric!!!!," he said, sobbing. (Author's note: Don't you just want to give him a big hug?) He slowly got up and started his long walk home dragging his feet.

"I'll go try to comfort him, Phong, you are in charge" Dot said.

"Demanding, isn't she?" Phong said, turning to a bionome. The bionome nodded.

Bob burst out the Principal Office and slammed the front doors. Dot was running down the hall and wasn't watching where she was going. GONG!!!! She hit the door so hard, it echoed. Her body hit the ground hard and her head hit even harder. Little Bobs on zipboards floated around her head.

"Oooooooohh, hi Bob," she managed to say. She then puckered her lips and tried to kiss one of them.

"Stand still!," she yelled at the invisible Bobs. Just then a bionome in doctors clothing stopped in his tracks watching Dot kiss the air. The bionome rolled his eyes and walked off.

"I have got to transfer to a different sector," the bionome said. Then Dot got up and started to dizzily walk back to the control room.

Meanwhile, Bob was on his way to his apartment to see if his mom had followed out with her plans. And sure enough there was an empty spot in the garage where his car had been. His eyes began to water again but he quickly calmed himself down and clenched his fists as tight as they could possibly be. Just then a yellow, orange, and red T.V. walked into the room.

"And now it's time for another episode of Lifestyles of the Sad and Carless, tonight we will be talking to a sprite that and get this folks, he let his mom take his car! Can you believe it?! The one thing that he loves most. Tell us Bob, how do you feel?" the annoying T.V. asked. As you know, Bob was not in the mood do to his loss and picked up the T.V. and threw him into the trash can shoot.

"Trashed again, oh well, this is Mike the T.V. signing out" he said. "Eww! last nights spaghetti from Al's, the best and slowest fast food in the system."

In the principal office things were getting out of hand. Since Dot got that big knot on her head she has been acting crazy the whole rest of the cycle. The only thing she could say is Bob and was still chasing the imaginary Bobs around the room trying to kiss one and while things were hectic in the Principal Office, Bob's mom (the virus) was playing pranks on everyone all cycle.

"What are we going to do?!?!" Matrix asked, "This is bad, very bad," quoting Bob. AndrAIa looked at him in a funny way.

"Calm down, you are starting to sound like a little sprite I used to know" she said.

"Who?" Matrix asked. She put her hands on her hips.

"Oh," he said. Duh, me, come on Enzo quit making a fool of yourself. Just tell her, it's been on your mind a lot lately.

"Enzo, Enzo! Are you awake?" Matrix snapped back into reality and stared dumbfounded at AndrAIa.

"What?!" she asked.

"Nothing," he sighed. Just say it! "I love you," he said.

"I love you too. Umm ,what brought this up?" she asked him.

"Just kiss me," he said and pulled her by the waist towards him. She put her arms around his neck and leaned in for the kiss. Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched as AndrAIa's lips met Enzo's. Their kiss was long and passionate. AndrAIa lifted her right arm and stroked the back of his head. His hands moved from her waist to her ASCII. The bionomes around widened their eyes as Matrix swept AndrAIa off her feet still kissing her, his hands still on her butt and walked off in to the empty sick room.

"I believe we won't be expecting them anytime soon," Phong said while watching Matrix closing the door with his foot. Dot, was still running around in the background trying to kiss the air.

Later on at Bob's apartment, an idea just came to him. What if I pretend I side with my mom? Then I will find out her master plan and mess it up.

"He he he, she'll never know what hit her," he said, grinning. He then jumped onto his zipboard and headed out the door. CRASH!!

"Ouch, I've got to remember to open that door on my out" he said cross eyed. He opened the door and went on his way. As Bob floated closer to the Principal Office, he put out his hands to push the door aside but he missed the door and fell to the ground. O.K. Bob, this is getting old. He picked up his zipboard and walked to the control room where everyone else was so he could tell them his "master plan." He walked through the control room doors and saw Dot acting funny.

"Did you miss me?" Bob asked.

"BOB!" she yelled and started to run toward him with her lips puckered. Am I in a dream, or is Dot really running toward me with her lips ready for a kiss? Bob held out his arms and instead of Dot running to kiss Bob, she accidentally kissed Phong.

"Wow," Phong said. "You like me, you really like me." Bob just stood there gawking at them.

"But.. But.. Bob is me," Bob said, sounding upset.

"Oops, I missed," Dot giggled. She then stood straight up and kissed Bob for almost a minute. Bob then completely forgot were he was and all he could think about was how empty the sick room must be. So he flung her over his right shoulder and opened the sick room door. There lay both Matrix and AndrAIa in a bed and Matrix had a bubble gum cigar in his mouth and was lighting it. BOOM!!! The exploding bubble gum cigar ruined the moment and Bob's mom peeked out from behind a curtain with a camera.

"You may want to see this, everyone, here is what you missed in the sick room" Bob's mom laughed. (V)atrix's eyes widened as he saw AndrAIa and himself on the big window.

"OHH..." AndrAIa's voice was heard everywhere and it was coming from the window.

"Uh oh," Bob said. Bob then turned to Matrix and things didn't look good for Bob's mom. He set Dot down and watched Matrix's eye start to turn. The golden eye turned to a sign that looked like an (V) target. He snatched his gun from the side of his blue, stripped pant leg and shot at the vid-window. The window split open into millions of pieces. Then (V)atrix turned to Bob's mom.

"Gun, target," (V)atrix said and a red (V) target appeared on the virus's forehead.

"Gun, Death Blossom mode," he said, smiling. Oh no, when (V)atrix smiles the victim has two options, to die or run very fast, Bob thought. Even though my mom is awful, she is still my mom, I got to help her. Everyone was watching Matrix's gun spin round in circles flickering red lights. The virus's eyes widened and she was about to scream when Bob spoke up.

"Matrix! No!" Matrix turned to Bob and roughly snatched his gun and put it back on the side of his pant leg cursing under his breath.

"Why did you do that? I thought you hated me, Bobby," Bob's mom said.

"Mom, the only thing I hate about you is that 1. you call me Bobby and 2. you hurt my friends, but I could never hate you, you're my mom," Bob said smiling. Bob's mom held out her arms and Bob ran to her to give her a big hug.

"Even though you are a guardian and I am supposed to hate you, I will always love you" she said.

"Aww mom," Bob said blushing. He hugged her even tighter and then escorted her out of the principal office. She began to fix all of the pranks she had done and even though Matrix was still mad at Bob's mom, he wasn't as mad at her after she apologized on the big vid-window for the bad, bad thing she had done. Bob's mom then hugged her son for the last time and teleported out of Mainframe and into the Web.

"Ya know Dot, I have always hated my mom for being a virus but I still love her a lot," Bob said turning his head to Dot. Dot looked up and started to laugh.

"Whaaa..." Bob looked up at the Mainframe flag pole and saw what Dot was laughing about. Before Bob's mom had left, she hung one of Bob's official guardian boxers up on the highest part of the flag pole. Bob buried his head in his hands.

"Ohh noo," he sighed.
